You have to wonder, what is it about Donald Trump that frightens liberals, media, academia and the establishment class in politics? Those who see Donald as a hateful, unstable, shallow, boisterous billionaire need to consider whether they are responding to the man and what he actually says or reacting to the man's caricature.
Barack Obama deliberately ran as a blank canvas. Trump is the opposite. He is in some strange way a mirror that reflects whatever you are. Some people "get" him and others don'tand those who "don't" never will.
The real spirit of this conflict is laid bare if you read the 51-page Democrat Party platform. It's the manifesto Hillary Clinton is expected to enforce if she becomes president. In Hillary's America, we would undergo the final phase of Obama's radical, socialist cultural transformation with astonishing speed. They call this revolution a "reset." And just one man stands in its path.
With 16 candidates running, and many of them strong Christians, it didn't seem likely Trump, the business man outsider, would go far. But I heard the Lord say: "Donald Trump is a wrecking ball to the spirit of political correctness."
Immediately I began to wonder what God was doing. Could this odd man out be the unpredictable instrument of God for a nation entering what the authors of The Fourth Turning call the cruciblea cycle of American history where we are put to the ultimate test?

I didn’t read this (I’m Roman Catholic) but I read your replies and I’m wondering whether devout Evangelical Mike Pence is given any consideration in this?
We have different views on the exact idea of free will, or perhaps semantics get in the way of agreement as they so often do.
I see free will, and the moral and ethical importance of choice, as one of the central messages of Christianity. Virtue rests in the conscious decision to do right and avoid doing wrong. Man’s free will is obviously constrained by the practical limitations of the physical world. We are, in the end, just very clever apes. Perhaps not as clever as we wish to imagine...
I consider the obsession for putting “prior restraints” on self-destructive behavior as an essentially non-Christian idea. Uncompromising moralizing and fatalism are alien ideas imported from Islam that were duct taped onto the side of Christianity during the reformation. God is a libertarian rather than a Calvinist. We can do good or evil and God will not stop us. But he will hold us accountable in the end.
I have felt that the Lord led Donald Trump to pick Mike Pence. Until the VP debate I did not know much about Pence, but near the end of the debate, when Pence was talking about alternatives to abortion and the sanctity of life, I could almost see him glowing with the Holy Spirit. THEN it made perfect sense to me - that Trump is the economy and security leader and Pence the spiritual leader. A balanced team.
Trump may not know that he is being used by the Lord.
Pence prays that he is being used by the Lord.
As it was posted earlier, it is up to the nation to decide whether or not to accept/vote for this mercy. As in the Book of Jonah, this is our Nineveh moment. To vote for blessings or for destruction.
Yes, he has brought Pence also. And Pence may be the end game. Who knows, after one term Trump may elect not to run again.
“God is a libertarian rather than a Calvinist”
LOL. I love this.
Thank you for posting Dobson’s words. I didn’t know he said that. I agree with him and Wallnau.....and wonder why so many just can’t see. I’ve been able to talk some of my reluctant Christian friends into voting instead of staying home. Articles like these may help them....because they erroneously think they are doing the right thing by staying home.
Sharing these words may help. What they don’t understand is the attacks on Donald are deliberate to discourage evangelicals, since the left knows he needs our votes.
We need to be aware of the wiles of the devil, and not fall into his traps.
I did:
God has chosen Trump to be our mouthpiece and he is doing what God wants him to do, Trump has talked to people in our Country, and in the world on their level, he has gathered the flock that have prayed so hard to bring someone we could follow and trust, God not only brought Trump, but He has brought Pence also...
“Ive been able to talk some of my reluctant Christian friends into voting instead of staying home.”
These people baffle me. All they have to do is ask themselves if they want their granddaughters forced to wear burqas, forced to have clitorectomies, and be 100% subservient to their husbands under the threat of honor killings. Sharia law will be firmly in place within 10 years after a Hillary win.
I used to live in Indiana where Pence is Governor, and I can say that he is a wonderful and honest Christian man. Trump could not have made a better choice. Yet, as with everything else, those on the right that are opposed to Trump wont give him credit even for this.
I agree with you, and it baffles me as well......more like frustrates the heck out of me.
That’s ok, the right is finished anyway, but WE the American People will give Pence the credit he deserves!!!
This was a very eye-opening piece. He just may be the man of our time.......when our country is going to hell in a handbasket along comes someone gives us hope. Thanks for posting this......
Well when you use the word “absolute” the semantic problem was generated on your end, not mine.
I am also surprised by those who see no difference between Clinton and Trump. I think a lot of it is political illiteracy or drinking the MSN kool aid.
Continued prayers for the blind to be healed.
Onyx, I’ll not question. This is in the hands of God and only He knows the whys and wherefores. That is believed and understood. Perhaps Gov. Pence has felt that hand of God on his shoulder as well. HoosierMama statement that he might eventually play an even more important role, would be only known in God’s time. Sorry, there are no answers, only a sense that we have not been forsaken and we are not alone.
I don’t....
“only a sense that we have not been forsaken and we are not alone.”
Amen
I read this teaching with great interest, SubMareener. The only thing I can add is that the Lord Seems to also be saying, as someone said earlier in this thread, that we are to preach, teach and pray as many as we can of the Lost to the fold. Thank you for a truly amazing post.
excellent read. Thanks for the ping SisterK.
