This would be the stupidest, most idiotic action this administration has taken. This would top it all.

The US is a target rich in a cyber war. If this happens I just hope Putin's counter attack focuses on the leadership and its propaganda arms and leaves the rest of us alone.

Speaking of alone. If the US goes ahead with this, it does so without a single ally. No one else is stupid enough to risk a cyber war, a this point, with Russia.

Yeah well Mr. Obama - that’s going to be all that more difficult now that we handed control of the internet over to everyone else.

Nice job moron.

...or maybe it was deliberate for this reason?

The actual objective of all of this is to take down the internet.

if the Russians do not succeed in doing so then our own slimy, secret operatives will do so, then blame the Russians.

Then, amidst the digital chaos:

“Hillary won BY A HAIR..!!!”

Simple.

This makes absolutely no sense whatsoever!...

Didn’t Obama just GIVE AWAY control of the internet???

How on earth is Obama supposed to dominate the battlefield of this war which he just quick-claimed over to the UN????

Guess Obama can’t find an aspirin factory to bomb as Clinton did, so conjuring up a cyber war will have to do.

Am I the only one that thinks this is a ‘wag the dog’ move to show leadership for Hillary?

If this comes from Biden I am not sure I would take it seriously. It is likely one of his 3 brain surgeries talking.

Dumbest and most insane move yet, on several levels:

1) It isn’t covert if you announce it. Russia will now increase its readiness to defend itself

2) Russia won’t stand still. Maybe our banks or electric grid will get taken down.

3) Other countries, China and Iran in particular, can attack us and blame will naturally be placed on the Russians.

4) Ditto for attacking the Russians and blame being placed on us.

5) Ditto for private hackers hitting either country and the other nation getting blamed.

6) This is, essentially, a declaration of war against a nation that has thousands of nuclear weapons, and a very bloody history of being victimized by a powerful enemy in a surprise attack. The galactic level of stupidity necessary to do that is beyond anything that I have seen in my lifetime besides twice electing a gay, Moslem, America-hating communist to the Presidency of the United States.

Oh, and all of this is a fairly naked attempt to throw such a monkey wrench into the election that he can declare a state of emergency and either suspend the elections or call into question the results if Trump wins. I don’t think that this will play well with the American public, even if no shooting or other severe consequences occur with the Russians.

Once again the ignorance is overwhelming.

You never let an enemy know your attack plan...unless you want them to know that it's not really an attack at all and will only be for appearances' sake.

Can you imagine how Pearl Harbor would have turned out if Japan had told the US what it was about to do?!

It won't just be Russia. The Chinese will pile on the U.S. under the cover of a Russian response in an effort to infiltrate government/corporate networks.

Just let it be blamed on the Russians.

Furthermore, the Chi-coms have a literal army of cyber warfare troops that do nothing all day/night but attempt to hack.

The generals in Argentina started a war in the Falklands to cover their incompetence.

The fact the Odunga regime says the Russkies are doing this is proof enough it is a lie.

Yet sHrillary is running those Goldwater-throwback ads with pocket rockets worried about DJT nuking Russia. It’s all projection and it sure sounds like Øbama is pushing things to the edge.

First, if you were going for expertise....you would go to the NSA. So I’m kinda lost on how the CIA will recruit these people and get into this fight.

Second, if you really wanted to irk the Russians and have them destroy Wall Street or your entire social security database....then this would be the move.

This is really stupid behavior but considering the twenty people around him presently....I’m just not surprised.

My guess is that one morning will come in December when two of the CIA’s cyber chiefs don’t show up for work and someone goes looking for them, and can’t find them anywhere. Weeks go by and you find out that they were grabbed by KGB guys and taken off to Moscow to reveal the whole plan.

They’re running a psyop against us, all part of the Clinton Crime Cartel agenda.

https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2016/10/14/obama-channels-his-ahmadinejad-white-house-banter-for-domestic-left-wing-consumption/

FTA:
The story about the CIA prepping for a possible cyber attack against Russia is akin to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad building wooden Aircraft Carriers for Iranian military exercises. In essence this story is, laughable domestic consumption only...So why push the ridiculous story? The motive is about propping up the failing candidacy of Hillary Clinton. There are trillions of dollars at stake, and sometimes strategic desperation calls for deployment of “The Bathtub Principle”

Obama tells the CIA to prepare for covert action with a press release.

Ivan can’t hack that secret!

Now if Putin ordered cyberattacks against EPA, DEA, ATF, IRS, FBI, state revenue services, state reg agencies he would give the US an enormous economic boost and be seen as a liberator of the people.
It actually would be smart to disable the leadership and predatory agencies. No one would really care if most of the US government shut down most services other than the parasitic bureaucrats. Now, if welfare payments, SS, Medicare stopped that would be a problem. That being said, with cyber attacks, one could be very selective.
Selectively making life annoying and difficult for bureaucrats and politicians would be beautiful.
