Donald Trump’s campaign says a British man is countering claims that the GOP presidential nominee groped a woman on a cross-country flight more than three decades ago.
The man says he was sitting across from the accuser and contacted the Trump campaign because he was incensed by her account — which is at odds with what he witnessed.
“I have only met this accuser once and frankly cannot imagine why she is seeking to make out that Trump made sexual advances on her. Not only did he not do so (and I was present at all times) but it was she that was the one being flirtatious,” Anthony Gilberthorpe said in a note provided to The Post by the Trump campaign.
In an exclusive interview arranged by the campaign, Gilberthorpe said he was on the flight — in either 1980 or 1981— where Jessica Leeds claimed Trump groped her.
Gilberthorpe, 54, said he was sitting across the first class aisle from the couple and saw nothing inappropriate. Leeds was wearing a white pantsuit, he said, while Trump was wearing a suit and cuff-links, which he gave to his British flight companion.
Indeed, Gilberthorpe claimed, Leeds was “trying too hard” in her attempt to win Trump over.
“She wanted to marry him,” Gilberthorpe said of Leeds, who apparently made the confession when Trump excused himself and went to the bathroom.
There was no kissing, but the “shrill” Leeds was “very much in your face” with the real estate developer.

“The guy in the seat across the aisle could see. And I kept thinking, maybe the stewardess is going to come and he’ll stop, but she never came,” Leeds told CNN.
That allegation infuriated Gilberthorpe, a retiree living in northwest England, who said, “That I sat there — eyes bulging — and not intervening is nonsense.”

But the fighting back is most important.
I suspected from the very first accusation that most, if not all of these women were rebuffed by Trump.
Hell hat no fury like a woman scorned...
Especially when there is a nice fat check to help bring out the tears.
It's the only way. If these women know that they're going to suffer humiliation they'll have to live with for the rest of their lives, they'll stop coming forward with false claims.
Everyone knows this story is made up. He should just stop talking about it and keep talking about the future of this country, Mass immigration and Hillary acknowledging the disaster of the Iran Deal.

New York Times just wanted to damage Trump’s reputation in careless and reckless disregard for the truth.
Trump’s libel case now looks quite solid, indeed.
So much for the media-constructed “gropegate” narrative.

I would humiliate her, sure... then I would sue her for every penny she has.
This is where Donald’s 11 year old comment that has raised such a brouhaha actually is both prescient and makes sense.
Being enough of a big star to see a number of crazed women’s come-ons to such stars, offering them any and all intimate favors, Donald knew exactly what he was talking about.
Even if Donald viewed himself as star studded bait, he at least chose someone with class — Melania. Perfect morality, no, with multiple split ups and marriages. But yet light years better than anything the Democrats have in their dirty minds.
Somethings are so bizarre and/or repugnant, that you never forget them, even almost 40 years later. Good for the Englishman for speaking up. I’ll bet she didn’t expect that.
Fort he true victims of this crime, leave them out. But the operatives need to be called out and identify their family and all those related to them.

It would be awfully tempting, understood.
However, I think Donald is actually going to be at least kind of Christian about it. He will most certainly insist on a fair hearing, which is what these slander and libel complaints are leverage to get.
But to me at least it is an intriguing object lesson about how the world has prostituted itself (for free, yet) to evil. Donald is living out a moral lesson almost as good as any prophet could.
Unfortunately now they will absolutely destroy the Englishman.
