Washington Rep. Congressman Dave Reichart says he won’t vote for Donald Trump in the wake of his “comments and blatant disrespect for women.”

He says that Trump has lost his vote due to his comments in a video from 2005 recently shared by the Washington Post.

“As a son, husband, father and grandfather I am appalled by Donald Trump’s comments and blatant disrespect for women,” Reichert writes in his statement. “The actions described in that video are absolutely reprehensible.”

So, don’t think of it as voting FOR Trump; think of it as voting AGAINST Hillary. Then if asked if you voted for Trump, you can say no truthfully.

Let’s see...

I don’t want Trump because he said some bad things...

The only alternative to Trump is Hillary who had done many even worse things.

Therefore, I choose Hillary over Trump...

This guy does not have the intelligence to be an elected official!!!

Doesn't matter since Wa will go Hillary anyway.

Best thing about living in Michigan now is that our vote matters.

(article) :" Reichert writes in his statement. “The actions described in that video are absolutely reprehensible.”

When you are more concerned about " talk " from more than ten years ago
but ignore criminal "actions " with in the last two years

your priorities are more than just a little a$$-backwards !
Bye bye, fathead !

Personally, I am unconcerned about losing the houses of Congress. Clean out the riffraff and come back with decent Republican candidates in 2018.

I'm a father of two daughters in their early 20’s and I can put Donald Trump's comments into context. I know that just saying those things does not mean he doesn't respect women. I know this because I have said far worse in my lifetime and I have nothing but respect for women. Somebody should kick this idiot in the bald patch where his balls use to be.

Perhaps all Trump supporters should be just as vocal about not voting for those who publicly state they will not vote for Trump.

I’m not going to vote for Reichert after that statement. I was already lukewarm about him since earlier in the year he refused to vote for the bill denying federal funding or sanctuary cities.

Next he sends me a fund raising letter I will return it to him with comments.

He is dead to me now.

He is my damned congressman. My wife sets up displays at museums and living history events. We have an upcoming USO fund raiser, we often see him at these types of events. He is always trying to get my wife to pose for pictures with him. He is a disgrace as a person and as a politician as far as we are concerned.

We participated in one of his “town halls” before Obamacare was approved and he beat down anyone who was against it. My wife has been snubbing the jackass ever since. If we see him at the one of these events we will be letting him know what we think of him. He has been a never-Trumper since day 1 so this latest announcement is just more staged outrages. He is the definition of RINO. I have gagged and voted for him in past elections but I am starting to think that like Paul Ryan, he does more damage than the Democrats do.

One more Republican Establishment LIAR underscores his lack of honesty and principle. This cabal (lef by Paul Ryan) are now so bold they insult our intelligence in broad daylight, IN OUR FACE. And laugh at us.

Folks, camouflaged DO-NOTHING (R)s are doing us all a favor by removing their masks! If they enabled 0bama every step of the way, we can assume with absolute certainty they’ll enable Hitlery. VOTE THEM OUT!!

A RINO sucking up to a liberal base in an environment of artificial outrage over locker room talk comments made over 11 years ago.

Just the kind of a-hole we need in congress.

With Trump, there is an element of the unknown, but, considering the people who surround and advise him, a possibility of real "change."

With Clinton, there is no doubt about the Progressive ideology Hillary proudly asserts, including big government, coercive controls on economic matters (socialistic); un-Constitutional restrictions on what the Founders considered to be "Creator-endowed, thus, unalienable rights" to freedom of conscience and religious expression, freedom of speech and of the circulation of ideas (press); and the right to individual "pursuit of happiness"--to say nothing of Second Amendment rights.

"Freedom is the most valuable of all human possessions, next after life itself. It is more valuable, in a manner, than even health. No human agency can secure health; but good laws, justly administered, can and do secure freedom. Freedom, indeed, is almost the only thing that law can secure. Law cannot secure equality, nor can it secure prosperity. In the direction of equality, all that law can do is to secure fair play, which is equality of rights but is not equality of conditions. In the direction of prosperity, all that law can do is to keep the road open. That is the Quintessence of Individualism, and it may fairly challenge comparison with that Quintessence of Socialism we have been discussing. Socialism, disguise it how we may, is the negation of Freedom. That it is so, and that it is also a scheme not capable of producing even material comfort in exchange for the abnegations of Freedom, I think the foregoing considerations amply prove." - EDWARD STANLEY ROBERTSON

His district voted for the Dem in the last six POTUS elections and is only R+2. This is the type of district the GOP will lose for good if Trump doesn’t win.
