Here are my top ten takeaways from Sunday nights presidential WWE match at Washington University in St. Louis (viewer discretion advised):
1. Trump was loaded for bear. We have a saying down in Dixie: Donald Trump shucked it to the cob. His campaign was teetering on the brink. Republicans have abandoned him in droves. And yet, he came out and delivered a solid performance.
2. Voters were more interested in Hillarys emails, not Trumps locker room talk. Frank Luntz says his focus group gave Trump the win. As for the emails, he tweeted, Trumps tape is bad for him, but Hillarys emails are even worse for her. Luntz went on to say Trump is back in the race.
3. This wasnt a town hall debate. It was a town hall ambush. CNNs Anderson Cooper and ABCs Martha Raddatz, disgraced themselves and their networks by ganging up on Donald Trump. When the audience cheered for Trump, they were told to be quiet. But when they cheered for Hillary, the moderators were silent. One on three is how Trump described it.
4. Hillary got rattled. Donald Trump knocked Hillary off her talking points and she was clearly rattled by his political punches. Off stage, one of her campaign staffers tweeted a profane message to Trump, F*** you. Not a bad job for a candidate who was also fielding attacks from Clinton spokesman Anderson Cooper and Clintons designated debater, Martha Raddatz.
5. There was no pre-debate handshake. It clearly demonstrated the level of anger and hatred between the candidates. But its probably best they skipped the handshake. The Mainstream Media wouldve accused Trump of inappropriate behavior.
6. Clinton wont say Radical Islam. We are not at war with Islam and it is a mistake and it plays into the hands of terrorists to act as though we are. Well, trying telling that to the folks who were blown up, stabbed and gunned down in places like Orlando, San Bernardino, New Jersey, St. Cloud, Minnesota, Chattanooga, Chelsea, New York and September 11th, 2001.
7. Trump needs to stay focused on the issues. This presidential election was supposed to be about jobs and securing the border and protecting us from radical Islam - not repugnant locker room banter, overweight beauty queens or litigating the past. Don't get distracted by Hillary and her minions in the Mainstream Media.
8. Blaming Honest Abe. WikiLeaks released excerpts of Clintons speech to Wall Street where she said eh has both a public and a private position on policy issues. When asked about that, she said she was referring to President Abraham Lincoln. That led to the second best line of the night when Trump replied, "Honest Abe never lied. That's the difference between Abe Lincoln and you."
9. Best Line of the Night: Mrs. Clinton: Its just good that someone with the temperament of Donald Trump isnt in charge of the laws in this country. Trump: Because youd be in jail. Watch:
Trump vows to get special prosecutor to investigate Clinton
10. Bottom Line: Trump proved that he is in the race to win the race. But we still dont know how much damage was inflicted by the hot mic incident. And we also dont know what, if any, impact Republican defections will have on the campaign.
Yup. When I saw the tapes of Trump's "Sexual Improprieties" get released, I said "Oh man. The Gloves Come Off. Because there's no way that A CLINTON will hold the high ground on this."
Nice to not be disappointed.
It took guts and mental acuity galore to get out there and perform as he did with the amount of pressure being exerted from all sides. That was presidential.
That is a good question and I wished it would.
Trump did not only win, he won big time.
I agree. The so-called Townhall did start out as an absolute 2 on 1 ambush. I think the only thing that reined it in was the 4 women sitting in the audience.
Probably because it isn’t “our” party anymore...........
I thought Scheiffer had retired?
Yet the old bastard keeps coming back, like a bad penny.
More locker room talk (beware): Martha Raddatz is the very definition of the “c” word.
... and big league ...
... and BIGLY ...

I've said for years....the most dangerous entity in this country is the MSM..........
>>> Yeah, but the M$M is more interested in the locker room talk, so that’s all you’re going to hear about from them.
You’re half right.
The msm will keep the ‘lewd comment’ alive for days (to bash in the Trump and angry white men War on Women memme); but they will spend equal time to promote the GOP defection.
Wait for all those defectors getting more and more face time.

At this point the "hot mic" incident is ancient history. Trump took it to the next level.
From GQ culture page: "Whats proper is for the woman to offer her hand first. If she does, then you shake it just as youd shake a mans. "
Trump was gentleman, he let the beach behave her way.
Thanks for posting this! bfl
They had their opinions completed by 8:00 PM.
Because the weak kneed establishment types were too afraid to take a stand on the obvious issue.
RE: Locker-room language; anecdotal story.
In High-school, one of our beat receivers hit the showers and was very vocal about how his evening would end...a joint and some “pu$$y. I, being a non-imbiber, ignored him because the athletic department protected him.
Turns out he got chewed out after practice by the HC and he decided he wasn’t going to jeopardize his All-State position in B-Ball for the school.
He quit, got to the State semi-finals in B-Ball, got schooled by a rather large white guy didn’t make it further.
He moved on to a DivII school in Florida, played 2 years and finished in CommColl. No NBA for him!
Lesson should be learned.
It sure did. And he sure was. He owned last night.
Pence won the last debate. Trump won last night. The first debate was controlled by Democrat operatives; it was unfair.
Pence and Trump have both won a debate. The last debate will be important.
