This idea will be immediately dismissed in some quarters as just another conspiracy theory concocted by the vast right wing but it is not as far-fetched as it sounds. Several items lend credence to the idea that the IRS has once become an arm of the political left targeting conservatives.
Could it really be just coincidence that Hillary Clinton focused on Trump’s failure to release his tax returns, surmising that the reason might be he hasn’t been paying any taxes, just days before the New York Times printed pages from his 1995 return showing a loss that “may have” allowed him to not pay taxes for the next 18 years? Was this Hillary’s “October surprise” for Trump?
Here is what Hillary surmised during the first presidential debate:
So you've got to ask yourself, why won't he release his tax returns? And I think there may be a couple of reasons. First, maybe he's not as rich as he says he is. Second, maybe he's not as charitable as he claims to be.
Third, we don't know all of his business dealings, but we have been told through investigative reporting that he owes about $650 million to Wall Street and foreign banks. Or maybe he doesn't want the American people, all of you watching tonight, to know that he's paid nothing in federal taxes, because the only years that anybody's ever seen were a couple of years when he had to turn them over to state authorities when he was trying to get a casino license, and they showed he didn't pay any federal income tax.

Another missing fact is that in order to lose money you first have to make it. He had already paid taxes on the 900 mil at some point.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but his state taxes were leaked. Of course, the state of New York is going after his charitable foundation right now, too. So the point holds, that Democrats are “weaponizing” government to go after their political enemies. They have a long history of doing this, and they’re doing it again.
I know....when I started my business many years ago...between the start up costs and the early lean year, I was able to spread the losses over 3 years. The government didn’t give me anything.

Do you mean Kudlow was on Hannity's radio show show yesterday? Because he wasn't on his show on Fox News. Eric Bolling and Anthony Scaramucci were though and they were talking about the tax code change.
It’s not clear to me what $hillary is getting at when she calls operating loss carryover a “scheme”.
Would she intend to disallow operating loss carryover?
If that happens, there would be severe consequences for the economy.

This is all wild speculation. Someone suggested that the culprit was Trump’s ex-wife. She could send the tax returns to anyone she wants, and there is no crime at all.

Its speculation, but not that wild. New York is going after Trump’s foundation. This would look like a green light to a whistleblower with access to the docs. IRS leaked Romney’s taxes, in fact just about everyone who ever went up against Obama has had his private information leaked to the press at some point. Its standard operating procedure.
Yeah, I read that too, and I agree it is all speculation.
What would happen if we did the same:
Hey IRS can I have the Clinton Foundation or Obama's tax returns? No. That's confidential and classified information.

The $5 billion that disappeared from State Department coffers, I wonder if anyone paid taxes on that? The $5 billion that disappeared from Haiti reconstruction money, I wonder if anyone paid taxes on that? The billion or two that disappeared into Clinton’s phony foundation, I’m pretty sure no tax was paid on that.
She has powerful incentives to get elected, to make sure none of this is ever investigated.
