Trump did not lose the debate (vanity)
Me

Posted on 09/27/2016 4:03:40 AM PDT by God luvs America

I did not watch the debate last night- my stomach was turning, but I followed the live thread here at FR (great job). Fact is clinton has done one-on-one debating for 15+ years never mind being a lawyer. Fact also while Trump may not have won the debate he certainly did not lose it; try as the criminal liberal media may there was no "ah-ha!!" moment Trump put out there which they will try and hang him with. He can only get stronger from here. Also- my feeling has been the VP's may turn the tide for the undecideds in this election with seemingly so much unfavorables for the top line candidates. There is no doubt in my mind Mike Pence will destroy tim co-Kaine in the VP debate.

Trump did not need to win the debates in the usual sense of punch counter punch. That was not the game here. Trump simply needed to look reasonable and safe. He accomplished that in spades.

Trump simply needed to look more favorable than Hillary. Trump’s unfavorables will go down more than Hillary.

That is all he set out to do. Too many people do not understand this especially the concern trolls. Trump was after becoming more likable so that those who cannot stand Hillary have a reason to vote for Trump.

Trump gave them that reason tonight. Look for Trump to cross 50% in the next few weeks in that LA poll.

Trump won it by being nicer and more down to earth.
Clinton was smug and not it all.
And her attack on trump were personal and petty.

It's all about being most likable in these debates .

As for polls , the left wing media propaganda polls with a Clinton rising were already cooked up weeks ago.
That was the spin- narrative handed out by the Clinton crime machine a week ago. The DNC email leaked showed how the Dem media is being given direct orders .

Good grief the concern trolls were out and about last night. The big debate thread that Nikos had posted was LOADED with them.

I can imagine polls showing Hillary won the debate yet Trump continues to creep up in election polls, much to the anguish of the media.

Woke up this morning after watching entire debate and sleeping on it.

Trump came across as a real, thinking, passionate human being while Mrs. Clinton came across as a scripted, painted hand-puppet.

That's as objective as I can be about it.

When Hillary started talking about disparaging women he referred to Bill Clinton without mentioning him. Wish he'd just given her both barrels on that, but he's smarter than I am ...

Trump did not understand the game last night. He did not understand how to spin Holt’s questions and put his best answers forward.

Nor did Trump redirect Clinton’s canned answers into an opportunity for him to bring out her scandals....emails, FBI investigation, Clinton foundation.

Understanding he isn’t a politician or a debater and relying on selling himself, in the game of politics this doesn’t fly.

Trump needs to quit worrying about Chelsea being in the audience, as he

just said on Fox this morning, and throw the kitchen sink at Clinton.

Agreed. And one rumour or comment I read here on another thread was that what Holt did in terms of bias was so obvious that apparently Democrats complained about it because by making it look so much so, that that really gave the store away right there and then. I think Trump can just jump back on the campaign trail and stay away from the fights over the moderator because we already knew about Holt and the media clowns to begin with.

Trump didn't get hurt and she didn't get a boost. He's the only one that drew valid blood with a few of his comments and you could see the way it slapped the grin off her face at those times.

Time to triple down and ensure that Trump has the dollars to wage the war over the next 5+ weeks...

GO TRUMP!

Hillary did good.

She was sober, alert and apparently healthy. Plus she had lengthy answers ready to each question (curiously enough).

That said, she also came off as rather humorless and lecturing. Plus that attempt to suggest Trump was hiding something by shrugging her shoulders shows she’s also an even worse actor than Madonna (if that’s possible).

Trump left a lot of targets unattacked, he’s got to be more on-focus for #2.

A lot of people won't like what you've said, but I think you've provided a pretty good analysis of the debate. Like it or not, Hillary was better prepared than Trump, and health wise, she looked fine. Trump needs to do more prep work for the remaining debates, including mock debates with someone who will not take it easy on him. At that level, you cannot just go in there and "wing it." I do think he landed some good shots, but he also missed a lot of opportunities that could have helped him score a decisive victory last night. I wanted to see Donald Trump wipe the floor with her, but it didn't happen. Again, Hillary was better prepared, but she also came across as smug and condescending much of the time. I don't think last night's debate will move the polls much for either candidate.

I watched the debate last night. Trump was great! He came across as a successful businessman who is NOT A POLITICIAN. Cankles looked like something out of a horror movie with her smirking & arrogant attitude. I expect Trump’s poll numbers to continue rising. He’s going to be President!!!

Vote Trump 2016

Hillary won the debate because she didn’t have coughing spasms, seizures, fainting spells, independently wondering eyeballs..and she remained vertical throughout.

I did watch with great interest. Trump absolutely won. He came off as intently passionate about making things better. Hilary came off as indifferent to the American people but obsessed with personal slander of Trump.

Which has got to be driving Hillary nuts this morning. She and Lester clearly abused Trump pretty well but the numbers did not budge. It is like she never laid a glove on him. She did not even scratch him. It really has to be making her crazy which maybe is a good thing.

Now she is really in a pickle. If she tries to win” the next debate as per the usual Hillary she will look even more like nurse Wratched. But she can’t lay back and become a Fountain of Wonk, either. That might win an election for librarian.

If his strategy is to bring her voters over he needs to act like it. The same for her. The question is which will ultimately be better at this in the next two. I do not think Hillary is capable of behaving in a way that will change minds, is he? He has to check his ego at the door. IT AIN’T ABOUT HIM. The fact that 60% say he “won” proves it. He needs to turn every answer into three things. $20 Trillion, failed Rat cities, immigration. Let the moderators whine. Ignore them. Let her slander. Stick to three reasons why he needs to HELP US MAGA. Please, please, please drop the ego.

Rudy Giuliani was on Fox & Friends pointing out how Lester Holt continued the legacy of Candy Crowley by jumping into the debate to challenge Trump’s “Stop and Frisk” remarks. Holt said it had been found unconstitutional, which is wrong. Hillary, who failed her bar exam, also agreed with “journalist” Holt’s incorrect legal opinion.

Trump should make an ad correcting this lie that Holt told to help Hillary.

I absolutely can not stand Hillary; that being said, I thought she won. She looked ‘Presidential’ to the ignorant sheep and he looked argumentative. We may have seen the death of nationalism and the 2nd Amendment last night.

She did very well..Iike a seasoned 30 years in the business politician.

Trump wings it...and has never been a politician. He didnt maximize his opportunity .

The debate boils down to..do you want a well seasoned back stabbing lying inside the beltway politician....or not

These polls are suspicious. I believe they don’t fairly represent dead people, felons, and illegal aliens,
