Liberal Tonight Show viewers were left incensed after host Jimmy Fallon did not try to take down Donald Trump or attempt to trip him up with “gotcha” questions during the pair’s interview on the NBC program Thursday night.
Instead, Fallon hosted Trump for an entertaining but insightful interview, during which the candidate clarified his relationship with Russian leader Vladimir Putin, talked about the upcoming first presidential debate and let the late-night host “mess up” his usually well-kept hair.
That wasn’t enough for progressives on Twitter, who took to the platform late Thursday night and Friday morning to excoriate Fallon for doing his job. Fallon’s name was still trending as of 9 a.m. Friday.

It’s because we’re not unhinged like they are. I just want to defeat the left politically and minimize their influence in American society overall. I don’t wish professional, personal, or physical harm on any of them, but the left wants that and more on all of us. They look at our side with pure hate and yet it’s always our side portrayed as the hatemongers.
The left’s main torture technique on us wouldn’t be waterboarding, but making us watch Hillary campaign speeches in a continuous loop 24/7.
Jimmy Fallon does seem like a nice guy. He just does not have a speck of hateful aura around him. He seems to treat everyone with equality and respect and he is funny. The hateful progressives should be careful who they offend because the “worm” could turn as it has a way of doing when it is least suspected. I keep wondering why those on the East and West Coast are so totally different than the people in the Heartland. Perhaps it is because the Heartland people really do have hearts.
Fallon is much funnier than Conan O’brian.Leno and NBC screwed over the right guy.

Fallon is brighter than most MSM hosts. He knows that tripping up Trump leads to a certain fall on the hostile host’s face. Gotcha turns out to be a mud concoction that clings to the interlocutor’s face.
It is the wise man who foregoes the cheap trick.
I don’t even know what Fallon’s politics are, but he’s wiser than that.

Fallon isn’t a conservative. He just not a hateful asshole. The Hillary people deplore anyone who isn’t as full of hate as they are.
Fallon didn’t waterboard Trump. Add him to the basket of deplorables.

I was hoping by now to be seeing more of that other Fallon interview, where Jimmy wears a white surgical mask to interview Hillary. Maybe Drudge will use it later.
