That’s a two word phrase there, folks—unless you’re describing some kinda special sauce—like ketchup, catsup, titsup...

Apple has stated that they fixed any problems that were effecting people installing iOS 10, most of which were associated with overloaded servers.

Uh huh! Insufficient infrastructure. I knew Apple was fixing' to collapse!

“I predict that in the next 6 months Hillary will go tits up, which is gross now that I wrote this sentence and have the thought in my brain.”

Arghhh!!!
That image will haunt me the rest of the day.
Curse you!

Yeah? Well my iPhone crashes whenever I choose the word "perhaps" followed by "y" at the beginning of a sentence!

This is exactly why I wait a while before upgrading any operating software on my devices. Let others test it first.

Or worse, Windows 10.

A late to the game FUD article posted by someone who doesn't own any Apple iOS devices. Ignores the balance in the article, as does The Register's headline, since the upshot of the original article goes on to state:

Apple said in a statement that the problem has now been fixed and that it affected only a "small number" of users despite the social media outcry suggesting otherwise.

"We experienced a brief issue with the software update process, affecting a small number of users during the first hour of availability," said an Apple spokesperson.

"The problem was quickly resolved and we apologise to those customers. Anyone who was affected should connect to iTunes to complete the update or contact AppleCare for help."— PING!

No I do not use them, but I still have a retired 4S sitting in a cubbyhole in my desk.

Besides I’m invested in Apple through indirect subsidies because of their Tax Dodging. I consider it a receivable. It’s almost like my tax investment in GM.

You said it. I saw a booth at a flea market/craft fair who’s company name was F*ck Soap. They were just selling soap! People are sordid these days.

And yes, I think the phrase used in this title is a perfect example.

Actually, once Apple increased server capacity, the installation of iOS 10.0.1 went well. My only problem was that it took THREE hours to update and install iOS 10.0.1 and also update all the apps on my iPhone 6, plus rebooting the phone a couple of times to make sure the LTE cellular data access worked correctly.

Sorry Chum,

I do still own 2 apple devices, a retired iPhone 4S, and an iPod Nano and my wife is still using her iPad.

More disinformation from the Fanbois.

Disinformation on Apple. It’s no longer a problem, affected only a few. In other news, Samsung came out for a solution of their Galaxy phones exploding in flames - only recharge to 60 percent. They have altered their battery chargers to do so. That’s the Samsung method of fixing things, cripple the charge and limit the phone. Apple provides real fixes.

No, you aren't. Apple has been one of the three largest US Corporate Income Tax payers in the United States, and in 2012 was the largest, paying $1 of every $40 of US business Income Tax collected in the US. Apple's effective Tax Rate last year was 27.6%. Compare that to Alphabet/Google's effective tax rate of only ~18%.
