Democrats wonder and worry: Why isn’t Clinton far ahead of Trump?

NEW YORK — With Election Day less than two months away, Democrats are increasingly worried that Hillary Clinton has not built a formidable lead against Donald Trump despite his historic weaknesses as a national party candidate.

Even the Democratic nominee’s advisers acknowledge that she must make changes, and quickly. Clinton leads Trump by a mere three percentage points, having fallen from her high of nine points in August, according to the latest Real Clear Politics average. That tightening has frustrated many Clinton allies and operatives, who are astonished that she isn’t running away with this race given Trump’s deep unpopularity and never-ending stream of controversial comments.

“Generally, I’m concerned, frankly,” said former Democratic Senate leader Thomas A. Daschle (S.D.). “It still looks positive, and I think if you look at the swing states and where she is right now, she’s got a lead. But it’s certainly not in the bag. We have two months to go, and I think it’s going to be a competitive race all the way through. I would say she’s got at least a 60 percent chance of winning.”

At the same time, Daschle said, “all the things that Trump has done, the numbers should be far more explicitly in her favor, but they’re not.”

Among Democrats’ concerns is the fact that Clinton spent a great deal of time over the summer raising millions of dollars in private fundraisers — while Trump was devoting much of his schedule to rallies, speeches and TV appearances.

Democrats are great at constructing false worlds until reality can no longer be avoided. Like their polling for instance. They can skew them all the way up to November 8th. The let down on November 9th will be a big doozy for them LoL.

while Trump was devoting much of his schedule to rallies, speeches and TV appearances.

While Trump was honing his message

Fine tuning his team

Raising big bucks in small donations

Controlling the media day by day

Reaching out to the disenfranchised

Focusing on message

Getting used to the Teleprompter

Sharpening his Press Conference skills

Rolling over the Mexican President

Being Presidential.

.....(fill in the missing at your leisure)

And from his lair, Assange waits and smiles. Perhaps he will drop the H-bomb on October 15, time enough for the entire country to mull over the contents before most early voting begins. In TX, that’s Oct. 24-Nov. 4.(Is NC nuts….starting early voting TODAY???)

” . . . astonished that she isn’t running away with this . . .”

I’ve seen pictures of Hilary trying to make it up a flight of stairs; “running” is not a word I’d use in any statement involving her.

It’s what they get for having a rigged nomination.

Trump is far ahead. The polls are fabricated. I don’t think I knew even one person who isn’t a Trump supporter.

Today I was behind an SUV that had two small bumper stickers, but they weren't on the bumper; they were located either side of the license plate.

One was a "Stop The Don" sticker, with a stylized depiction of Donald Trumps red hair blowing in the wind.

The other had a picture of a flying saucer hovering over some pine trees, and these words: "I want to believe."

I haven’t seen a single sign of Clinton support outside their automated/paid online silos, and of course the media and her various sponsors.

In a sane world, Trump would be ahead by 25 - 30 points in EVERY state.

And yes, Pickles Clinton sucks.

“Just as Trump was repeatedly underestimated during the Republican primaries, his aides say he is again being underestimated heading into the general election.”

I find it ironic that the people who want to vote for her know almost absolutely nothing about her. We who know much about her know exactly why she doesn't need to be president.

She can’t hide and let Trump continue to dominate the news. So she has to be out in public where people dislike her even more as she campaigns.

She's taking the next 5 days to recover from her 4-question "press conference". Her next public appearance is Wednesday. What I think the Democrats fail to understand is that Hillary is at least as flawed as a candidate as Trump.

As I read Dilbert, he thinks that 3% "shy" Trump voters could translate into a landslide.
