Democrats wonder and worry: Why isn’t Clinton far ahead of Trump?

NEW YORK — With Election Day less than two months away, Democrats are increasingly worried that Hillary Clinton has not built a formidable lead against Donald Trump despite his historic weaknesses as a national party candidate.

Even the Democratic nominee’s advisers acknowledge that she must make changes, and quickly. Clinton leads Trump by a mere three percentage points, having fallen from her high of nine points in August, according to the latest Real Clear Politics average. That tightening has frustrated many Clinton allies and operatives, who are astonished that she isn’t running away with this race given Trump’s deep unpopularity and never-ending stream of controversial comments.

“Generally, I’m concerned, frankly,” said former Democratic Senate leader Thomas A. Daschle (S.D.). “It still looks positive, and I think if you look at the swing states and where she is right now, she’s got a lead. But it’s certainly not in the bag. We have two months to go, and I think it’s going to be a competitive race all the way through. I would say she’s got at least a 60 percent chance of winning.”

At the same time, Daschle said, “all the things that Trump has done, the numbers should be far more explicitly in her favor, but they’re not.”

Among Democrats’ concerns is the fact that Clinton spent a great deal of time over the summer raising millions of dollars in private fundraisers — while Trump was devoting much of his schedule to rallies, speeches and TV appearances.

One new goal for Clinton now, aides said, is to spend more time trying to connect directly with voters by sharing a more personal side of herself — and by telling them where she wants to take the country.--------------------That will really sink the witch!

Her only hope is to completely disappear. Every time she appears in public her numbers plunge.

Just as Trump was repeatedly underestimated during the Republican primaries, his aides say he is again being underestimated heading into the general election. There’s a sense in the campaign that things are finally coming together and that Trump can propel himself ahead of Clinton over the next two months.-----------------Idiots never learn...Trump will shock them again!

I’m hoping Wikileaks has an email that talks about how to do voter fraud.

Because she sucks...as a candidate. A barely walking, barely talking criminal disaster.

The Left wing really wants their candidate to say and do things that are demonstrably Left wing. A candidate who actually does that will lose. Alinsky understood this and developed the dog whistle concept. It worked well, but the idea a candidate can run in the middle while secretly saying the dog whistle we’re-with-you-lefty stuff isn’t working anymore. I think, because the really rabid left is too stupid to recognize the whistle. They want real change. When do they want it? Now! The change they want is death camps for conservatives, firing squads for Fox News and other Lefties who aren’t sufficiently left.

Trump is far ahead. The polls are fabricated. I don’t think I knew even one person who isn’t a Trump supporter.

The Dems need to dump her fast and put someone in like Tim Kaine or Mark Warner. Otherwise they will regret their “Stand with Clinton” mantra of 1998-1999 that gave them Dubya two terms. But just as surely as we can predict that a dog will bark at a stranger at your doorstep we can predict that they will stick with her.

Maybe because she has already gotten 4 people killed in Benghazi and lied about it.
She exposed classified materiel and lied about it.
She used a private server and lied about it.
She took millions from foreign donors and lied about it.

Oh, and she’s promising to give our country to fraudulently documented foreigners who broke in and are robbing us blind.

She can’t hide and let Trump continue to dominate the news. So she has to be out in public where people dislike her even more as she campaigns.

The coughing, shrieking Hillary.

Hmmm. Democrats = Pay to play.

I'd say it's a real concern if those "private fundraisers" don't see a return on their investment...

I have a hunch they don’t wonder.

If anything they probably wonder how it has been that they have been able to sucker so many Americans for so many years.

They are however, justifiably worried that America has finally awakened to the Democrat Party criminal enterprise.
