I’m not sure Manning’s line was as insulting as everyone else seems to think. Like the thoroughbreds that race at the KY Derby, Ann has legs UP TO HERE. Like them she’s long limbed and lean.
A lot of the jokes weren’t funny or creative. It takes zero talent to wish someone would die.
Have you read the hate-fest that the rest of them were doing? Manning certainly heard it, he was there. He decided to join a verbal gang rape, to hell with him.

A “roast” is supposed to be funny. Those rabid haters attacking Ann Coulter had nothing funny to say. Their remarks were just stupid, vicious, and nasty. What a total lack of “comedy” at Comedy Central.
True. Strange thing is, I doubt any of them could recite even 2 or 3 things Ann Coulter has ever said. They’ve been told she’s The Enemy and they react like the drones in Orwell’s “2 Minute Hate” sessions.

Liberals project their faults on to others. The roasters are frustrated they are not man enough, they cannot have a babe like Coulter.

I always enjoyed the riposte delivered by Truman who, when hearing a reporter yell “Give em Hell, Harry!” shot back “I tell them the truth, and they think it’s Hell!”
This kind of reminds me of that in some twisted way of Comedy Central where their retort to a liberal shouting “Give them Comedy!” might be “We give them crap, and they think it’s comedy!”

Trump has said he agreed to be roasted in 2011 because he would donate the proceeds from his appearance to charity and it proves he has a “good sense of humor” about himself. But I don’t know that, even for charity, that I would subject myself, my family and others to this type of filth and also laugh along with it. YMMV.
