Donald Trump now needs a swing of only 3 to 4 percentage points in key battleground states to win this election.
The rule is simple: Throw lots of mud and see what sticks. It works. For instance, Trump just called for a “special prosecutor” to investigate the Clinton Foundation: It made for a good headline .
The key issue here is how Trump is polling in context. He has just gone through almost a month of terrible campaign news. Yet he remains within a 4-point swing of winning in battleground states. That should be terrifying for Team Clinton.
No wonder betting on Trump at one exchange is now at its highest level since he launched his ill-fated attack on the Khan family following the Democratic convention. Trump’s odds of winning are up to 29% at Predictit.org, a U.S.-based betting exchange, from a low of 24% last week.
Meanwhile, as Labor Day looms, the campaign has just passed a turning point.
Trump’s core voters are blue-collar whites who are worried about jobs, crime and illegal immigration, and who are resentful of “elites,” which is the new term for uppity snobs. According to Suffolk pollster David Paleologos, Trump does far, far better among likely Michigan voters who have a gun in the house than among those who don’t. He’s even level with Clinton among Michigan women who have a gun in the house, despite a huge gender gap in the rest of the population.
It’s hard to imagine that Trump’s base is ever likely to see any “equivalence” with Clinton, no matter how much he softens his language for the general election.

The faux polls will be a virtual tie until about two days before the election, and then there will be a mysterious last-minute swing to Trump. Amazing! Who could have seen it?

Meanwhile, political ads work....especially negative ads. Trump has not begun to run those yet. I hope he starts soon.
Here in Maine, I saw one Hitlery ad on TV every night during the Olympics.
I see Gary Johnson / Bill Weld ads on TV all the time, and I hear Johnson ads on the radio all the time as well. Nothing for Mr. Trump.
I suspect is more about the Black American vote in general.
I think her internal polls show Black Americans starting to move to Trump, and it freaked them out.
I bet her campaign is hemhoragging black votes.
State polls in the battleground states usually have D oversample 3 to 10. Trump is MOE or ahead in the battlegrounds and even some deep blues like CT and ME.

If Trump is campaigning in the Pacific Northwest, his internal polls must be going through the roof!!
Lets not get carried away...it’s going to be very close!! I hate the talk of landslides here(it reminds me of troll talk taunts)the polls are what they are...I don’t believe Hitlery has a big lead but I believe they are indeed neck in neck...some of it is due to the mediawhores blackout of trumps positive solutions for our troubled country and their relentless 24/7 negative lying attacks on him ....plus the fact trumps hasn’t flooded the airwaves with negative attack ads against the evil pickle *itch!!
The only ones who put forth these concern articles are people who don’t want him to win. The entire narrative that he is behind is based on false, fake, unproven polls, which “we” seem to accept without question.
Whenever you see the word “poll”, just substitute “global warming data” instead.

The polls are rigged in order to create a false perception in order to steal the election.
Hillary can only get around 300 people per rally while Trump get thousands.
Yet the same state run media wants us to believe that even though no one will come out to Hillary’s rallies, while Trump gets thousands every rally across the country, that they will land slide for Hillary on Election Day.
Only if the filthy rats successfully steal it. There is no way the people want to elect that sick witch.
