Bean counters are using the same tactics they did during the primaries, questioning how Trump could ever get to 1237 delegates.

After all of the Oh! No!s and He can’t do its, he ended up with 1725 delegates.

Exactly right. I can still remember the doom and gloom around here during March and April when the same "experts" and "consultants" were boldly trumpeting that Donald Trump has "no path" to the 1237 delegates on the first ballot and that we were headed for a "contested convention" in which Trump would surely lose because he had no "ground game" and all he ever did was fly his big plane around and give speeches to thousands of people.

Then Ted Cruz won the April 5 Wisconsin primary and all hell broke lose here. The Ted Cruz supporters were bragging on how their man "played chess while Donald Trump was playing Chinese checkers" or something to that effect and that Ted Cruz was a master manipulator of the delegate game while the amateur Donald Trump was being completely outmaneuvered by the more clever Cruz and blundering away delegates left and right because he "did not know how to play the delegate game."

It was a tough period to be a Donald Trump supporter here on the Free Republic, let me tell you. We were constantly being told that our candidate "had no chance" and that we ought to all come to our senses and get behind a conventional GOP candidate before it was too late.

Then Donald Trump went ahead and ran the table from that point on, capturing 1700+ delegates when all was said and done.

Now we are in the general election and the same nervous nellies, concern trolls and Debbie Downers are here to tell us that our man can't possibly win in November. Doesn't have those "electoral votes" locked up and - shudder - hasn't even run a TV commercial! Oh no! Why is Donald Trump in Texas? Why is he in Connecticut? Why is he opening a campaign office in New Jersey? Why is he going to Washington State next week? Doesn't Donald Trump know that those states are un-winnable and he should just write them off to the Democrats?

If it were up to the armchair campaign managers here, Donald Trump would be living in Ohio and Florida from now until November and wouldn't waste his precious time in states that he "cannot win."

Such a sad defeatist attitude so many people have.

Donald Trump is showing us how to win. It's been a while. I remember the election of 1980 when Ronald Reagan was campaigning in places like Connecticut and in New Jersey.

Go ahead and click on that link above to Reagan's September 1, 1980 speech in New Jersey. Just the first 60 seconds of it will make your day and improve your mood. I guarantee it.

Ronald Reagan knew how to win and how to overcome a hostile media. So does Donald Trump.

I am so optimistic for November!
