The main post was from April, but there were two people who had posted the same picture of the owl last night and it did go to their FB page. I wondered when they’d show up to start looking in to that nest. He must have been shocked at all the “padding”! LOL!

They don’t leave the area when the kiddos fledge but they spend their time elsewhere. They’ll occasionally pop in at the nest but it’s rare. I guess they just want to make sure it’s still there.

But yeah, it must have been a surprise to see all the nestorations the ospreys have done this year. LOL!

They’ll show up more often starting sometime in Dec. and Momma will start making the nest just the way she wants it in Jan. She has a LOT of Spanish moss to dig the nest cup in this time and that’ll keep the eggs, and later the babies, nice and snug next year.

Last year was my first year to watch this nest, too, and I wasn’t sure when they started getting things ready for the next clutch of eggs.

I just hope all the babies survive this coming year. Last year was a real bummer!

Last year was my second year watching the owls. Those babies were so funny I couldn’t wait to watch again. And I eagerly look forward to next year’s entertainment.

I’m with you! This year was NOT a good year for our beloved birds! Waaaaaay too much drama! I hope next year is MUCH better.

Same here, that’s why I had to use rockr instead. Several others I tried were also already taken...wish I could remember them all, I tried a half dozen user names to set up a internet account, I think it was ICQ. I started getting online about 1995 or 96, everything I could think of was already taken, I had to change spelling and use rockr to get anything music related I could think of. Then later had to use numbers behind it, and that didn’t even work with rocker...
