“I keep his name at the top of most of my word docs for all my regular posts.”

Geez! Am I really that infamous/notorious? ;-)

But, but, but.....I am completely innocent of all charges and will be 100% exonerated! ROFL

knittnmom is my second FReeper name. My original - 80 square miles - was taken from the definition of Wisconsin’s capital city: “80 square miles, surrounded by reality”. But many people thought I was male, or an engineer. I am not male, but I am married to an engineer. Anyway, knitting is a hobby of mine, I’m the proud mom to two children - one of whom is also a FReeper (ellendra), and grandmother to one child. So I switched to knittnmom. (I’m a former L-dotter, where my handle was humming.bird. Chosen because I like to sing, and it was my old CB handle back in the day. Was kicked off for daring to inquire about someone who had gone missing. She had also been kicked off.) How’s that for TMI? :-)

This has been a fun thread, PRO! Glad you did it! I’m always curious about others’ handles.

36th Texans... Wow... Those guys took a hell of beating crossing the Rapido river in Italy. Tough outfit. Part of Mark Clarke’s 5th Army.

Was your old man part of that campaign, Bender?

I’d like to know who snagged “rocker”. I discovered that it was taken when I signed up in 2002. He has a (blank) page but no posts.

That’s why I had to alter the spelling (since I didn’t want a number suffix): rockrr.

Yup, it’s fun to see how FReepers come up with their names, always new folks coming on board.

"Thou hast made us for Thyself, O Lord, and our hearts are restless, until they rest in Thee."       St. Augustine of Hippo

Of course my FReeper name was not intended to imply in any way that I was that "Heart Rest" that Augustine spoke about there in that famous quote, but that that was actually my main goal in life, to find that "Heart Rest" in God, the one and only source of that true "Heart Rest".

(However, on the other hand, sometimes I wish I could just hit a "reset" button, and choose my FReeper name all over again, without deceiving the Robinsons, or cluttering up their files with extra FReeper names.)    :-)
