FormerRep - I was a staunch Republican ticket voter until I watched the suicide conservatives trot out one re-tread after another and then bend like willow when the political winds blew against them. The tradition of eating our own sickened me. I changed my party affiliation to Independent (constitutionalist) - hence : FormerRep

Someone in the Giuliani administration called me firebrand, back in my neighborhood activism days.

It’s a moniker I was given while I was in the Army. Interestingly, the same moniker was given to me years later when I helped set up a fugitive apprehension program for the US Marshals Office. After getting it twice, I thought it must be mine.

Much has changed since I signed up -------- I lived in Cali, and I was thrilled to get rid of the Clintons and have "W" and decency in the White House.------ hence, CAluvdubya

Now I live in Nevada (Northern, not in Reid territory) and not thrilled with W at all. ((((sigh)))))

A few of the surviving photos of my late T-Patcher father:

Dad... in Massachusetts before shipping out in 1942--

Dad... in Scotland 1943--

Dad... again in Scotland 1943--

Dad... in the invasion of Southern France in 1944--

Dad... with Mom and me in Marlin, Texas, 1949--

Dad... and (l to r clockwise) me, Mom, my Grandmother, my Grandfather, Jim Cook, Le Ann Payne & Whitey Payne at Old Mexican Inn, Corsicana, Texas, on August 26, 1949, my 2nd birthday--

Dad... Mom and me in Nashville, TN, 1956--

Dad... Mom and friends night clubing in old Juárez, Mexico, back in 1959 when it was safe to cross the border from El Paso for a night of fun--

Dad... and Mom outside our loghouse in Gunnison, Colorado, 1963--

Dad.. about to go put up the sign for his new Construction business, Kerens, Texas, 1966--

Dad passed on suddenly in Baytown, Texas, in 1971 and not a day goes by that I do not think of, and miss him.

Yes, it is a Birkiin. I got a lot a advice and even bought some parts from the folks in Vacaville. I was in San Jose at the time and it took me about 6 months to build it. It was one heck of a fun ride. Sold it a few years ago.

Thank you SO much for sharing ... I have a few photos of my parents and a lot were lost in a fire two years ago.

Good Morning!

[Did they misspell their own name?]

Apparently, I wasn't a huge fan, just grew up in that era.
