Rush: What if there’s a silent pro-Trump majority out there that isn’t being polled?
Hot air ^ | August 23,2016 | ALLAHPUNDIT

He’s springboarding off of something WaPo reporter Robert Costa said a few weeks ago:

The most important voter in this movement, uh, when I travel around the country, is the previously disengaged voter. They’re almost a nonpartisan voter, but they’ve given up not just on the political process, but they’ve disengaged from civic society. They don’t really follow politics. If that’s a real coherent voting block, then Trump — regardless of the polls — will have a shot in November — and regardless of all the mistakes — because that’s a huge block. There’s so much of this country that rarely, if ever, votes, and if — for some reason — they come to the polls in droves, that changes everything.

Here’s Rush today, citing Salena Zito’s recent column about driving across Pennsylvania and seeing one Trump yard sign after another:

Call ’em the silent majority, the silent number or whatever. We’re gonna find in November just how many of them there are. We’re gonna find out in November how many of them show up and vote. We’re gonna find out a lot of things in November, ’cause I guarantee you these people are not being polled. They’re not being reached. And in an even greater sense the people responsible for polling and the editors and producers of major media networks. They’re not interested in these people…

So they are out there lurking, and every presidential year comes along and they stay home because it’s more of the same. They don’t have to a political party. The Tea Party, maybe, was a vessel for them. But Trump has come along and has ignited them. Trump has come along and reenergized them, and that’s who they are.

I live in Lalaland, CA and I have yet to see a Shillary bumper sticker. I am on the freeways hours at a time and not one H->. Los Angeles, CA folks. There were plenty of Bernie types and still a few Obama/Biden remnants. It is uncanny. I saw a brave soul with a Trump bumper sticker. I hope that individual has a safe place to park. I would have a Trump sticker but there is no sense replacing perfectly good tires or repainting the finish.

Not everyone sees the world through the eyes of a “Blue Turtle”. Unless you’re one of those who needs convincing, you’ll never understand why they need convincing.

94% of the private sector “working class” is non union. You can get rid of that bullet point.

I can see the problem. I only see a couple of places with Trump signs here, too, in east Texas. Did see one house with about a dozen, and I don’t remember seeing any bumper stickers at all other than old faded ones from Obama’s last election. It’s hard to tell around here, but from talking to neighbors, it seems a lot of people are in for Trump. I know my nearest neighbor is a die hard Trump fan, we talk about it all the time. He’s 80 years old, great guy, my mother can hear us laughing and carrying on all the time. She usually knows when I go over to visit...She hates Trump...and Hillary...

“Why the hostility towards me? I’m not the enemy.”

It’s the doom and gloom you expressed in your post. Such talk is destructive to troop morale.

If you’ve got to express your belief that the system is rigged against us, please do it with a tone of defiance. Attitudes, both good and bad, are infectious. Please remember that. You and I are setting the tone for others.

People need to lie to the pollsters every time they can. The establishment needs to think it has a much smaller margin of fraudulent votes they have to manufacture than they really need to win.

I have to confess...years ago i worked for a “polling firm”
It didn’t take long to see their questions were all loaded and meant to steer people to a certain outcome...Democrat.
Anyhow, people would hang up half way through the survey and i would finish it...knowing the right answers.

They would tell us to lie..no in so many words...they actuall said “lie”
They swore up and down they were not for one side or the other.

It was just a job at the time and i quit when they when they wanted me to endorse a candidate...all Democrats!

Very instructional as to how they operate.
So, polls don’t really mean that much to me..because i know they are easily manipulated ...even by some guy trying to keep his job.

Hillary is spending millions of dollars and can’t get any real distance from Trump-Trump is going to win easily.

There is a silent majority that is going to vote for Trump and it crosses Party lines.

Supposedly the 10% of eligible voters who are swing voters decide all national elections, or at least that is what we are told all the time. So the dumbest 10% of voters actually decide elections no matter the result—dem or pub or con or lib. Some non-rational reason swayed the swayable to the winning candidate. You have to think that one of the things that can sway these folks is the perceived popularity of a candidate. So if they can fake popularity at least a certain % of voters will vote for the most popular simply because they are perceived as popular. And these people supposedly decide elections. It’s actually pretty grim and sad when you think about it.

Or gives false answers when polled. When robo polled on the national election, my youngest bother identifies himself as an undecided black female. Under the Reuters system, that would mean that he gets attributed as being for Hillary. Why does my brother do this, with great diligence no less? “To screw with them.”

On a related note, I have surmised the Clinton’s are paying for polling numbers showing Hillary up by double digits to generate a frenzy of Clinton Foundation donations before she loses.

The Clintons will have secret service protection until they die of syphilis and alcoholism respectively in a couple years.

Dictators around the world will have to wait until Chelsea is elected to get theirs. ...and that’s a long time.

Note to Rush:

I am a life long Republican voter—now 76 yrs old. I AM NOT getting any polling calls-—not of any kind.

I am NOT showing Trump bumper stickers because of the violent opposition to him.

However, I will definately vote for Trump in November.
