The entire Bush family should come out with both guns blazing and shout out the hypocrisy of both big media and obama.

The first step in putting the media in their place is to publicly point out what irresponsible hypocrites they are.

They certainly should, but they wont come out and say anything negative...They are happy with the status quo :(

VOTE TRUMP 2016

I say this gently, and with immense respect for you, but....

.... .you're not getting it. The Bushes are PART OF THE PROBLEM. They are globalist Elitists. They will NEVER come out against Obama, or Hillary. Their only real enemy is Donald Trump.

It was all Kabuki theater. The press pretended to hate the Bushes and the Bushes pretended to dislike being treated like that. It was all performance art.

Witness the fact that the Bushes have never said a harsh word about Obama, and now about Hillary -- no matter how outrageously either behaves! -- but have no problem finding a TV camera and a microphone as regards Trump.

Remember in 2009, the power failure in Kentucky during the winter? Tens of thousands of people were without heat, and had to seek shelter in schools, etc.. I believe about 150 people froze to death. 0bama said nothing, neither did he go there. The media gave him a pass on that as well. I’m guessing it’s because Kentucky and Louisiana are pretty reliable republican states.

Thanks for reminding us of the plight of Kentucky! So many things have happened since 2008, It is hard to remember them all.

Thanks for posting...Very helpful and informative...Wouldn’t it be interesting to see how all of the aid to states has been doled out over past 8 years as a function of voting constituencies?!

Obama's modus operandi is to wait until the trouble or disaster is past and then come in with his forte, "leading from behind".

Sometimes his playing golf is a good thing. He can make matters much worse when he leaves the golf course and gets personally involved. Just be careful what we wish for out of this guy.

True leadership is not to be found in his presidency. Occasionally, he looks like he knows how to follow. But most times, we wish he would just give more heed to the final part of this saying, "Lead, Follow or Get the Heck Out Of The Way."

Point well taken.

Lost perspective there for a while, but I’m back to reality again. Thanks.

“The entire Bush family should come out with both guns blazing and shout out the hypocrisy of both big media and obama.”

Now that’s funny! That passel of turds is too busy denigrating Trump and urging Republicans to vote for Hitlar to do that! To my everlasting shame, there was a time when I thought “The Bush Family” were good Americans. Donald Trump has pointed out the error of my ways. “The Bush Family” thinks of the rest of us as “The Help!”

“I remember that absolutely repulsive display of liberal Democrat celebrities that took place following Katrina”

You mean “Chocolate City Ray Nagin,” and William “Cold Cash” Jefferson? You mean those celebrities? I think both of them are currently in jail!

Did some checking, and I just remembered wrong. There were at least 35 deaths in Kentucky. Over 500,000 were without power, and over 100,000 were without power for over 1 week. Still a lot of suffering for which the media gave 0bama a pass for not going there.

Thanks for the info. That event didn’t seem to get much publicity at all, that’s why I posed the question.

Bruce Jenner gets more coverage than something as awful as that.

Madness.

"I personally don’t want a precedent set that dictates the president visit every major disaster. This disaster while causing pain to thousands of people is of no more importance than the pain of one family undergoing a disaster. Sheer numbers should not count. Why is their pain greater than my pain? The Philadelphia lady in a wheelchair killed by a hit and run driver yesterday is a disaster to her family, should Obama call her, should Trump call her?"

You sound a lot like Stalin who said, "A single death is a tragedy; a million deaths is a statistic."

While no doubt a tragedy, the lady in the wheelchair's death by a hit and run driver is a matter for local authorities and well within their capabilities. When a large scale event such as 9/11, Sandy, etc. exceeds the capabilities of local and state authorities and the resources of the federal government are mobilized, The marshaling, deployment, management and effectiveness of those resources and efforts all fall on the president's desk. People expect leadership and a leader knows he needs to be visible. A real leader will delegate, but he won't punt.
