In 2005 President Bush was rebuked by Democrats for his handling of Hurricane Katrina.
President Obama scored some cheap political points -- blasting President Bush for his flyover of the devastation in New Orleans.
Well, at least President Bush paid a visit.
That's a lot more than what President Obama has done for the people of Baton Rouge and other parts of southeastern Louisiana.
Some 40,000 homes are under water - a countless number left homeless - many without flood insurance.
And even though the waters have begun to recede, President Obama has not set foot in the Bayou State.

At least Bush was back in his office after being in Texas. If he had vacationed on the golf course in Martha’s Vineyard for a week during Katrina, the Democrat media would have been calling for his impeachment. They shouldn’t wonder that people hate the media.

I blame the media for creating the impression that (a) the President needs to “care” about natural disasters and (b) visits from politicians are anything but a diversion of resources from a better use.
It would be a negative factor in the situation if Obama went there, not a positive. He and his entourage would be in the way. It makes no difference whether he cares: neither intense personal compassion nor utter indifference nor even deep malicious glee is of any USE.
Remember in 2009, the power failure in Kentucky during the winter? Tens of thousands of people were without heat, and had to seek shelter in schools, etc.. I believe about 150 people froze to death. 0bama said nothing, neither did he go there. The media gave him a pass on that as well. I’m guessing it’s because Kentucky and Louisiana are pretty reliable republican states.
In about six months he’s out the door so he doesn’t give a rats a** what any one thinks. You will see much more of this arrogant attitude displayed as his term comes to an end.

My, and I remember that absolutely repulsive display of liberal Democrat celebrities that took place following Katrina. Apparently, the local authorities after a short while told these people to leave since they and their entourages were putting very unnecessary demands on security and other important resources needed by the locals.
Don’t worry, Bammy gonna be there on Tuesday to play President and then scold you racist sons of bitches.
Tuesday is because that’s when one of the nearest golf courses opens back up.

B. Obama also does not like this country. For example, he dragged his feet regarding the oil spill a few years ago. But when it comes to admitting Syrian invaders or other undesirables to this country, he is quick to act.
