CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- An 18-year-old Charlotte, N.C., college student who was ejected from Thursday's Donald Trump rally says he went from avid backer to disillusioned opponent after Trump's security accused him of being a known protester.
Jake Anantha, who registered as a Republican and cast his first primary vote for Trump, was wearing a Trump shirt when police removed him from the Charlotte Convention Center before the rally began. He and his father, Ramesh Anantha, say they believe he was profiled because of his dark skin. "It's unbelievably ironic," said Ramesh Anantha, whose parents emigrated from India. He says his son, as a young person of color appearing at a rally where the Republican presidential nominee touted his support for people of color, "should have been looked at as a perfect Trump supporter. He should have been somebody they're putting up on stage."

Third, The Washington Free Beacon is hardly a “left” site: it is known as a very reliable conservative site.

CNN wrote up a story too and local TV stations have grabbed it to put on their site pages.

The whole story smells fishy - it needs to be vetted.
This is very similar to the tossing out the baby brouhaha. Much ado about nothing.
Trump should immediately reach out to the kid to try to diffuse it, if he gets rebuked, then we know it’s all a set up.

I saw this kid being interviewed by Rachel Maddow...sure didn’t waste any time running to the lib media with his “story”.
FWIW, The Washington Free Beacon is an online deal that is run by Matthew Continetti as editor-in-chief who is the son-in-law of Bill Kristol.
As a young man born in the environs of VA/DC in 1981 and graduating from Columbia University, he married Anne Kristol in 2012.
Frankly, I am ALWAYS suspicious of these ‘connections’ in VA/DC myself. While it appears that he has written a good deal of conservative-like articles, etc. for NYT, WPO, etc., he also has been seen on TV defending Bill Kristol.
So, no, I’m not ready to call WFB a ‘very reliable conservative site.’
No mention of Trump on either father or son’s FB pages
He had to pick up his pay check.
