A state court in Minnesota, which already is heavily influenced by a large population of Muslim immigrants and has one district represented in Congress by a Muslim, has decided that in America, it’s American inheritance law that applies.
The recent ruling from the Court of Appeals affirmed a Hennepin County District Court decision that the widow, Nariman Sirag Elsayed Khalil, of a taxi driver who died in an accident should be the one to benefit from a $183,000 settlement over her husband’s death.
It was the cab driver’s brother who argued in court that Islamic law should apply, so that the widow of Nadir Ibrahim Ombabi would only get 25 percent of the wrongful death settlement, 16.7 percent should go to his mother’s estate and the rest to Ombabi’s siblings, “with the males to receive ‘twice the share of the female.'”
The opinion, which was marked “unpublished” and not to be used for citation, involved the claim of Hosameldin Ibrahim Imbabi of Gold River, California.

People ought to be free to enter into whatever voluntary contracts they wish (something similar to this may be seen with Jewish religious law) but certainly absent the beneficiary woman’s choice to do that and to forego what she would otherwise get, the law of the land should prevail.
Once sharia law is in the court system like in the UK where there are 85 sharia courts actually attached to the mosques,(some church my ass,) it’s the beginning of the end.

Good point, EVERY politician should be forced to go on record about Sharia law. Pester them until they address the issue clearly, pro or con. It will certainly be an awkward question for the Demagogues.

Gonna run out of beings with all the picture making going on in Hollywood and all over the world. I would include films and camera pictures in that category.
The term “religious law” only applies to Christianity, Jewdaism, and Hinduism. All other are exempt as they are peaceful movements with love and best interests for all mankind.
