So you think kids can't get alcohol today?

The issue of it being legal or illegal was not my point.

My point was that his is their only concern.

because of the rampant welfare and crime associated with drug addiction. But again, I will be doing a 180 on drug policy if Hillary is elected. Drugs are RAT poison and I’m increasingly in favor of RAT poison.

You just took a leak on the Constitution, specifically the 10th Amendment.

No I didn’t. When my Ohio tax dollars are used to subsidize the poor choices made by Colorado citizens, the tenth amendment is no longer applicable IMHO.

No I didn’t.

Yes you did. And you did it again=>

When my Ohio tax dollars are used to subsidize the poor choices made by Colorado citizens, the tenth amendment is no longer applicable IMHO.

You're saying a fedgov policy that tramples the Tenth Amendment is justification for further trampling a state's 10th Amendment powers to regulate a function reserved to the states.

how about some good citizens (including R’s) showing up with a 52 foot American flag (not for burning like the D’s gangster street thugs and IslamoNazi rabble do at the R convention)

carry it high and proud

and let’s see if the MSM cover this event
ha ha

I guess the prostitutes who like Democrats will be happy with a 51 foot joint. Can charge more, per foot than their usual rates.

Then by all means, lets bring back alcohol prohibition. That was such a sterling success.

You apparently did not read the entire post, or you would not have made the snarky comment you did.

I'm over you. Obviously your reading skills are sorely lacking, because I never made any suggestion of keeping pot illegal. In fact I could care less if it is made legal. In fact I said it should be left up to the states. In an earlier post within this thread.

My main complaint, again, was that this is their biggest issue. If you see nothing obtuse about that than fine, but you do not have to be snarly.

Furthermore, if you want to be snarky, do it with someone else. You have no insight whatsoever as to who I am, what I've done in the past, or how I feel about the subject. Let's just say I'm a child of the 60's and I lived them to the hilt.

Meh. There are people who voted to repeal the 18th amendment. Does anyone really need a drink that bad?

Disclaimer: I’m about 1/2 way through a vodka martini right now.

I smoked from about the time I was 16 until I was 20. It didn’t make me violent, never kept me from holding a job and I was not supporting my habit by stealing car stereos. In fact all I really wanted to do was eat Doritos and laugh at things. All in all I would say it is more benign than booze. Wake up in the morning... No hangover. Feel well rested.

The violence that is resultant of outlawing something usually has more to do with the lack of recourse people have when dealing with prohibited things. You can’t take a dealer to court, can’t report him to the BBB and have to worry about getting shot if you try to deal with it on your own.

I have smoked twice in the past decade for nostalgic proposes and have been disappointed but will admit, the old line is that pot is a gateway drug is 100 percent true. The people who are selling it are, usually not limited to one product and thank God I was never tempted to try things like heroin (which some of my friends were).

I was in Denver for work about a year and a half ago and it was no different than any other major city even though it’s legal. Was in Prague last July and the bodegas were all selling edibles. I didn’t see any chaos or crazy stuff.

Just my opinions and personal observations.
