Are they insane?!
What was the point of having a primary then? Both political parties need to be outlawed.
Would this also apply to the D-Rats?
Votes by people do not matter — according to this ruling, which invalidates the votes of millions.

absent credentials they can’t be omitted to the floor
absent agreement to be bound, no credentials
I’ll vote with a ballot or a bullet.
These people are saying my ballot doesn’t count.
Bad choice.
I suspect that 2016 is not going to end well for America.
Popcorn time. I wonder (and could figure it out if I decided to take the time) what this changes, if anything. So what if the state can't enforce the law? The issue is how the party handles the delegates, not how the state handles the delegates.
Tar, feathers, pitchforks and nooses for the judges!
The voters votes were just overridden by a robed traitor!
We are quickly heading toward Civil War II, which is long overdue. The People are being told by the courts and other parts of all levels of government, along with the major parties, that their votes don’t mean jack shit. The People are getting angrier and angrier. The Republican National Convention will be a bloodbath if the nomination is stolen from Trump.

Federal Court just UNBOUND the delegates for Virgina.
A large part of the problem is the RNC changed rule 16 in 2014 removing almost all of the rules preventing the delegates from voting for anybody other then who they were bound too.

Isn’t this up to the party? It is a private entity - I don’t see how the courts have any jurisdiction over this.
Judicial usurpation and tyrant!!
These bastards are determined to rule the country from the judicial bench.
Do away with delegates voting for the nomination if the majority has been reached prior to the convention. The delegates are irrelevant.

It’s my understanding that under current convention rules that delegates are “deemed” to have voted for the candidate that won their state regardless of how they actually vote or even vote at all. Virginia just had a second layer of protection that barred delegates from voting for another candidate or abstaining. This ruling might strike down that state protection but it has no control over how the party counts or does not count the votes...
Like father, like son.

I thought that the political parties make their own rules.
