Whether or not there is a way to parse that language technically and then massage the statistics behind it in such a way that it meets Clinton Testimony Acceptance, there is a war on cops and it's identified in Obama's rhetoric - inclusions and omissions, Soros' funding of the BLM terrorist organization, the media's so called 'journalism', hostile, trumped up and fraudulent criminal prosecution of white cops where multi racial juries and grand juries always acquit, now commonly deadly attacks on police by black men for the purpose of expressing black hatred of the police, and anyone who is watching knows, these attacks' real intention (in addition to killing white people) is to provoke whites into doing something would actually justify one of their fake prosecutions and an excuse to do even more damage.

So they are up 44% since last year!!! Obama only looks good if you average it out over the last 8 years. During the Great Recession, all types of crime were down significantly, so I would give the credit to the Great Recession rather than Obama.
You just hit the key words. Shootings of cops are up under the Cop-Killer-in-Chief. Police fatalities from shootings are down because today's cops are more likely than ever before to wear quality vests.
