Companies bail out on GOP convention after facing pressure

Donald Trump has promised to liven up this year's Republican National Convention. But some of America's biggest corporations are bailing on the party.

Apple recently became the latest company to give the GOP's presumptive nominee the cold shoulder; it won't contribute money or products to the Republicans' big shindig in Cleveland this month. HP Inc. is also withholding support, while Microsoft is giving products only, not cash. Beyond the tech industry, Ford, JPMorgan Chase and United Parcel Service have opted to withhold support.

Wow. Seriously. I want every single one of these cronyist companies punished. Punitive punishment for showing such sickening favoritism in a political way.

Make them pay.

Outrageous.

We want it all. If sold in America then make it in America or suffer the tariff. We want products made by Americans and not made by slaves through international labor arbitrage. F Ford F Free Traitors™. Go to the Democrats because they can be bribed just as easily as any one else.

Well, it would be interesting to see if any of these companies contribute to the Democrat Convention. If not, there’s a whole lot of knees jerking around here.

That is exactly what is happening.
They have been able to manipulate previous nominations so we had no choice.
Trump is the only reason we aren’t preparing to hold our noses for Yeb! in a futile effort to avoid Hillary.
The citizens have a real chance to regain the Republic.
Possibly our only chance.

IIRC, Trump called out Ford for building a new factory in Mexico. So this would make sense, in a twisted way.

Yawn. You merely wish to punish a different set of US companies that those free traitors you are always going-on about are allegedly punishing.

Outsourcing began at HP back in the late ‘90s
Microsoft has been actively working with RATs for a long time
Ford wants manufacturing to stay in Mexico.

Companies are willingly adding themselves to a very impressive list of products to be avoided at all costs. They are outing their affinities by caving to a particular ideology. We will be certain of their allegiances if they participate in the anti-America party convention a few weeks later.

I expect there will be all sorts of lighting and “technical” problems.

(see last two gop conventions)

This year the voters want revenge. Corporations need to remember this as they grovel for customers.

Who should do the punishing?

The Feds punishes tax payers every April 15th. So why can Corporations be “punished” with a tariff for exploiting third world labor at the expensive of US workers?
