Companies bail out on GOP convention after facing pressure

Donald Trump has promised to liven up this year's Republican National Convention. But some of America's biggest corporations are bailing on the party.

Apple recently became the latest company to give the GOP's presumptive nominee the cold shoulder; it won't contribute money or products to the Republicans' big shindig in Cleveland this month. HP Inc. is also withholding support, while Microsoft is giving products only, not cash. Beyond the tech industry, Ford, JPMorgan Chase and United Parcel Service have opted to withhold support.

I guess these companies don’t like doing business with Republicans.

I am amazed at how many people I know who cannot see this as the globalist elite fighting back against the will of the American citizen-worker-taxpayer.

“Contributing” something is not “doing business,” unless you are in the business of handouts.

Apple is run by a lib, Gates is a lib, HP has ties to Carly.

And some of them are addicted to H1b visas so they can pay Stem workers 65 cents on the dollar and no benefits.

Gee it just makes sense, Trump is for ending these loopholes.

I’m really disappointed in Ford. I supported them by purchasing two new vehicles during the Obama Government Motors fiasco. Now they are moving their factories to Mehico and supporting the Clintoon Crime Sydicate. What the....? Talk about backstabbers. I guess greed trumps all.

Yes. But it is an old problem. Henry Cabot Lodge, Sr., who was the Republican leader in the Senate in 1919, denounced those business interests at the time, who basically saw all nations as the same, so long as they could make money in them.

I do not have the essential quotation from his speech where I am typing this, or I would offer a paragraph or two, to make the point. Lodge was a practical politician; but he was not afraid to put America First. In the 97 years since, fewer and few of our practical politicians have been willing to clearly put America first, when challenged by those who put profit before country.

This goes to the essential issue in the Trump campaign, putting America first. (The Issue.)

The Republicans should make ads naming these corporations. Globalist, fascist, crony-capitalist supporters of the UniParty status quo.

Globalist Free Traitors™ should not have a place in domestic American politics. And why should they?

Ford is investing billions in its US production facilities. And the plant (Wayne Assembly) that Trump likes to complain about will be retooled for the new Ranger.
