The recent verbal attacks by the Republican presumptive nominee Donald Trump and his supporters on President Barack Obama for avoiding the phrase "radical Islam" in his public pronouncements are simplistic, racially inflammatory — and flatly misinformed.
Settling upon accurate and strategically nuanced terms to describe the post-9/11 enemy is not the product of "political correctness" (contra Trump) or a failure to understand the enemy (contra a much-discussed Atlantic cover story). Nor are objections to using overly broad terms like "Islamic radicalism" limited to Democrats. The Bush administration understood the power of words, too. It concluded that distinctions that may seem small to Christian-American ears make a big difference to the mainstream Muslims we need on our side.
When I directed the Political Islam Strategic Analysis Program at the CIA in the early 2000s, I frequently interacted with senior Bush administration policymakers about how to engage Muslim communities and, when doing so, which words and phrases to use to best describe the radical ideology preached by al-Qaeda and other terrorist organizations. Always, the aim was to distinguish between radicals and extremists and the vast majority of mainstream Muslims, and to make sure the latter understood that we were not lumping them in with the former.

In fact, it worked and George Bush won the War On Terror using that strategy, but it simply ignores the reality of where we are and how we got here.
President Obama willfully reversed George Bush's victories in the War On Terror and has spent the last 8 years nurturing and legitimizing the cause of Radical Islam and it's grudge against the West as well as violent Jihad in general.
We tried the kinder and gentler approach to combating terror under Bush and our troops paid a horrendous price to persevere and win using that strategy, but under Obama the Islamic world has rejected the conciliatory approach and has pursued direct and open confrontation.
The idea behind the strategy of not mentioning Islamic terror and Jihad is to prevent the radicalization of the Muslim world. This was an operative strategy in the year 2002 because the Islamic world had not yet been radicalized or mobilized to Jihad.
Under President Obama, and with Obama's direct encouragement, the Islamic world has already radicalized and mobilized and is now in direct combat with the rest of the world, so the barn door is open and the horse has already left the barn.
George Bush largely defeated the concept of Radical Islam as a world wide military/political movement before it got rolling. Now the Jihadi have the ball rolling on world wide Jihad so we must defeat it as a military force on the march, not as an emerging mass movement trying to gather traction and reach critical mass because Obama has already enabled the Jihad to get traction and reach world wide critical mass to wage war on the non Muslim World .

Islam is taught in schools. Christianity and the Bible are

we must stop serving pork in prisons.

we are inundated with law suits by Muslims who are offended by American culture.

we must allow burkas to be worn everywhere even though you have no idea who or what is covered up under them.
• All of a sudden,
Muslims are suing employers and refusing to do their jobs if they personally deem it conflicts with Sharia Law.
• All of a sudden,
the Attorney General of the United States vows to prosecute anyone who engages in “anti-Muslim speech”.
• All of a sudden,
Jihadists who engage in terrorism and openly admit they acted in the name of Islam and ISIS, are emphatically declared they are NOT Islamic by our leaders and/or their actions are determined NOT to be terrorism, but other nebulous terms like ‘workplace violence.”
• All of a sudden,
it becomes Policy that Secular Middle East dictators that were benign or friendly to the West, must be replaced by Islamists, and the Muslim Brotherhood.
• All of a sudden,
our troops are withdrawn from Iraq and the middle east, giving rise to ISIS.
• All of a sudden,
America has reduced its nuclear stockpiles to 1950 levels, as Obama’s stated goal of a nuke-free America by the time he leaves office continues uninterrupted.
• All of a sudden,
a deal with Iran must be made at any cost, with a pathway to nuclear weapons and HUNDREDS of BILLIONS of dollars handed over to fund their programs.
• All of a sudden,
America APOLOGIZES to Muslim states, and sponsors of terror worldwide for acts of aggression, war and sabotage THEY perpetrate against our soldiers.
• All of a sudden,
the American Navy is diminished to 1917 Pre-World War I levels of only 300 ships. The Army is at pre-1940 levels. The Air Force scraps 500 planes and plans to retire the use of the A-10 Thunderbolt close air support fighter. A further draw down of another 40,000 military personnel is in progress.
• All of a sudden,
Obama has to empty Guantanamo Bay of captured Jihadists and let them loose in Jihad-friendly Islamic states, and most likely give the property back to Cuba. He demands to close the facility.

America will negotiate with terrorists and trade FIVE Taliban commanders for a deserter and Jihad sympathizer.

there is no money for American poor, disabled veterans, jobless Americans, hungry Americans, or displaced Americans... but there is endless money for Obama’s “Syrian refugee” resettlement programs.
