To my understanding, satanic pentagrams are pointed down (one point at bottom, two at top), rather than upright like this one. Mystic symbol, maybe related to new age / wicca, but as likely as not just chosen because it looks cool.

That word... “satanic”. I think it means something other than what you think it means.
The pentagram in and of itself is not “satanic”, although satanists do use it and other occult symbols from time to time. They even use the symbol of the Cross, although no one in their right mind would immediately label that “satanic”.
I looked up the Black Sun symbol, and it too does not appear to be “satanic”, so I am not certain where you are getting your information from.

The little rucker is not too bad on the eyes, but I am distressed that so many people today seem to think that tattoos and piercings are somehow beauty enhancements.
Good on the dad for taking an interest in his offspring’s well-being, when so many parents today just can not be bothered to.
I'm curious, what is life like in your PERFECT world of parenting? At what age are you going to let your kids out of the house, age 30?
You can do your best to teach them right but you'll never be able to control their actions..........
The world is full of perfect parents like you but for some reason many have ended up with totally screwed up kids..........go figure!
A couple of my teenagers are fans. I don’t think it’s a terrible show. In the first couple of seasons it was very original, in a creepy way. One of the lead characters is very cute, too.
I think I’d have liked it more when I was still a teenager ;-).
Which makes dad's efforts a massive fail. As well as failing to raise a responsible young lady.

In my perfect world of parenting, no tattoos. Apparently that’s impossible to enforce w/ “kids these days.”
Everything else you said is some form of projection and/or rationalization. If that works for you, go with it.
I am going to cast my vote with the “Dad failed” crowd.
If he had been an engaged and attentive father, setting limits and being a consistent parent from day one, he’d not be in this jam in the first place.
The nicest thing I could say is “It’s not his fault his daughter is an attention whore with stupid tattoos”, but alas it probably is his fault.

I wonder if the family ever went to church where they could learn something about resisting temptation throughout life.
