The U.S. military response was perplexingly inadequate Sept. 11, 2012, the night Americans were attacked by Islamist terrorists in Benghazi, Libya.
That’s one overarching conclusion reached by two leading Republicans on the House Select Committee on Benghazi after an investigation lasting a year and a half.
“Until now the administration has led us to believe the military did not have assets, men, or machines close enough or ready enough to arrive in Benghazi in time to save lives,” Reps. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, and Mike Pompeo, R-Kansas, write. “An asset that could have made a difference would have been armed drones. And as the committee learned, it would have been relatively fast and easy to arm a drone.”

The military has staff officers...and staff officers prepare ‘battle books’, ‘battle plans’, and ‘contingency operations’.
We have plans on shelves to invade or defend every armpit of the world you can think of.
I can’t believe that we didn’t have a plan in place, units tapped to go, airfields designated, etc. to defend not just Benghazi, but every embassy in all of Africa.
For some reason, though, nobody was allowed to implement the plan.

All my liberal friends are citing the democratic report that came out yesterday which says its is all about nothing and the investigation was a waist of money . I have to agree with them if nobody goes to jail or looses their job. What good are words in a report if no action is taken and the democrats are allowed to write their own version upstaging any facts when it is their version used by the press? The Republican Party needs to get tougher than words, unfortunately that’s all we get from this report ...

yes, and if Nixon had been allowed to stonewall all investigations for 4 years, as this White House has done, then Nixon would have finished out his 2 terms quite happily and comfortably.
The MSM is complicit with the White House in stalling this for years, and then they dare to complain that it takes so long and they say “nothing to see here, move along!”

The Clintons have been mixed up with the Mid East and China for many years. We’ve already seen the money they’ve been getting from the Mid East. I’ve read reports during his time in our Whitehouse of money from the Chinese. So protect America from their friends? I think not.

Like the Republicans and Democrats all rely on what the White House says..what a bunch of lazy, weak, ineffective, dubious and downright pathetic politicians we have.
What, they live in some kind of vacuum where the only info they know is what they’re told by the White House? Bull.\

Clinton approved CIA drone assassinations via her phone and unsecure basement server...but she couldn’t approve a drone for Stevens, Doherty, Woods or Smith.
Our Congress should be put up against the wall.
