Someone shot and killed the girls. It was either the mother or the father.
The woman had the gun in her hand, hence the belief that it was she who killed the girls.
And the father was just doing what there? You’re right that there’s not much information in the article, but anyone who is present in the commission of a crime and does nothing to stop it is complicit in the crime.
It’s legal precedent.

Some typically lefty leanings, social justice warrior interests — but again, a large proportion of the kids coming out of colleges these days might look like that too, and most never go this mad.
Leftiness can disappoint, though. I know of a particular person in my family who had a degree in sociology and thought she knew everything about everybody, but even though that even verged on religion, it never quite seemed to verge on God. She died a miserable nervous wreck at a young age, having failed to engineer her life and the lives of those around her quite the way she wanted.
