What would have you said had you been asked?
Ever heard of the genre known as hixploitation?
Stuff like this makes it go. Hideous crimes and sins in the country, where everyone normally expects things to be idyllic.
You cannot detect inflection in the written words.
Stop projecting.
Why don’t you take that advice, to stop projecting, yourself? Was not the crowd at Pulse more complicit in not stopping the shooter there? Yet nobody charged them with crime.
Hubby stood around just how? My 99 44/100% bet is “In utter shock and well paralyzed from years of hen pecking.”
You want a crime charged. Well those in hell want ice water.
How about ....
*They seemed like such nice people and good parents. I would not have expected this to happen but I guess it goes to show that you never know.*
You mean the Huxtables? Most be the new sequel
I think you misread the comment.
I didn’t ask that in the sense of what business he had being there as much as what he was actually doing in response to it.
Like was he *just standing around* as was observed in post 2?
Trying to stop her? Protect his daughters? Help his daughters? Or was he hurt?
Your answer is essentially the same as the next-door neighbors statement.
++++
Now, about that legal obligation to step in to stop a shooting.............
But you ass-u-me exactly how.
Could it be the police already have a pretty firm idea of it and say, there is no way any court is going to care about this? One more battered spouse out in Hixploitationville and you want him accused with what? Sure, when Mickey Mouse becomes real.
And even if he was drunk, it was his birthday.
I never said that the person had to STOP the crime.
But if someone doesn’t TRY to stop the crime then the assumption is that they are complicit and often charged themselves.
I knew a man once who went to jail for rape not because he committed one but because he did nothing to try to stop the guy he was with from raping a girl.
Maybe if you DID fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of the faith He wants you to have, then you might have a more merciful perspective.
Maybe God caused a trio of hellions to get their way — they went to hell.
Where the risk was way less.
And how do you know he was not praying for God’s will to prevail in the middle of that little hell?
And pretty sure this incident was the antithesis of "in cold blood."
Sounds a lot like in very hot blood indeed!
No, it’s not.
It’s not a *I just don’t believe it* response that the neighbor gave.
The neighbor said, “I do not know how this happened. So I cannot believe that.”
I don’t know how it happened? I CANNOT believe it?
It was the girls FATHER.
What kind of father doesn’t try to stop someone from killing his own daughters?
I would stick with “no comment,” and “no, you can’t quote me.”
It sounds like it was all one big show put on by the femmes.
I’ve seen that kind of thing before.
Yes, and what do you expect out of a spiritually and psychologically assaulted soul?
Whatever MORAL obligation there may be... there is not a scintilla of LEGAL obligation in this blow-up.
Sorry, you will not get your vendetta along with the women. And no I am not projecting, just reading your tone.
*I just dont believe it*
* I would not have expected this to happen *

Seriously, they are very different?
OK, he says, walking away shaking his head.
