I never said that the person had to STOP the crime.
But if someone doesn’t TRY to stop the crime then the assumption is that they are complicit and often charged themselves.
I knew a man once who went to jail for rape not because he committed one but because he did nothing to try to stop the guy he was with from raping a girl.
Where the risk was way less.
And how do you know he was not praying for God’s will to prevail in the middle of that little hell?
