Trump expanded on that in a statement released Monday night. Here it is, in full:
The Washington Post unfortunately covers Mr. Trump very inaccurately. Today's headline, "Donald Trump Suggests President Obama Was Involved With Orlando Shooting" is a perfect example. We no longer feel compelled to work with a publication which has put its need for "clicks" above journalistic integrity.
They have no journalistic integrity and write falsely about Mr. Trump. Mr. Trump does not mind a bad story, but it has to be honest. The fact is, The Washington Post is being used by the owners of Amazon as their political lobbyist so that they don't have to pay taxes and don't get sued for monopolistic tendencies that have led to the destruction of department stores and the retail industry.

Doesn’t bother me at all. I have waited for years for a politician to have the stones to stand up to the liberal media. Newt did once in a debate and aside from that, nearly no pushback from our side. The MSM doesn’t like us, lies, and is stooges for the Rats. Why let them run the show?
The article says they don’t have the facts wrong but they do. Failing to apologize for lying and pretending a lie is the truth is what is wrong here. That may be how it all works but were ending that in 2016, the year of truth.
Journo trash dumped from Trump Campaign
CCRM!! Victory!!
Doesn’t bother me at all. Hope it ruins the newspaper.
the guiding principal has been....”do not go to war with a man that buys ink by the barrel.”
Trump is now counting on the internet and public opinion to assist him in carrying the day
Doesn’t bother me at all!
Oh; it DOES!!
They have MORE time to come up with inventive ways to spin stuff!
Wrong. 'Gatekeepers' aren't required - live cameras are more than adequate. Citizens can make up their own minds.
The press threw away their credibility years ago when they decided 'prizes' were more valuable than the trust and respect of their readers. Focus shifted from 'what will the readers think' to 'what will the elite prize committees think'.
I don't believe there's ever been a Pulitzer awarded for 'outing a liberal' or positively showcasing a conservative belief.
The press writes for the befit of committees and the guy at the next desk. We don't trust them because - from experience - we've discovered they don't care about us, our concerns, or our viewpoints. The press pushes their own agenda. It's not connected to ours. They don't even like us ... All conservatives should consider banning the New York Times and Washington Post.
Yes, we have a free press... but we, as conservatives also are free... to accept or reject them. Just like they do to us.
LOL - Good one Chad... they will do that...
Doesn’t bother me one bit.
It bothers me that the WaPo isn’t as dead as Disco.
The Washington Post should try reporting about Mr. Trump with the same journalistic objectivity
and impartiality that they have practiced over the years while reporting on Che Guevara and Fidel Castro.
Why can't an American capitalist be treated with the same fairness that WaPo shows to communists, is all I am trying to say.
WP can get all the coverage they need from the AP.
When the Washington Post becomes a legitimate journalistic enterprise, they might qualify for press credentials.
I guess he’s sick and tired of the Post saying that he’s thin-skinned and can’t tolerate criticism.
Doesn’t bother me in the least.
The Post i a dinosaur that would have been extinct a long time ago if it were not for money from Progressive libtards like Bezos.
To me, the world would be a better, and better-informed place, if the Washington Post and the NY Times ceased to exist.
Actually, it is far less complicated than that. Felt felt that he was entitled to take J. Edgar's place and was royally p*$$ed off when he was passed over for the promotion.
Because of Felt's jealousy, millions of people in Southeast Asia died.
The First Amendment guarantees the right of a free press TO THE PEOPLE; it does NOT guarantee the right of the New York Times or the Washington Post to exist in perpetuity.
If those "press" outlets fail to provide an honest product, a new press will emerge to replace them. "They" are not protected, the right of a free press is.
