Orlando: Why it Means War
American Thinker ^ | June 13, 2016 | Christopher Chantrill

Posted on 06/13/2016 10:55:39 AM PDT by Kaslin

When an Islamic terrorist gunned down defenseless US servicemen at Fort Hood in 2009 we were told it was workplace violence. When Islamic terrorists gunned down local government employees at a picnic in San Bernardino in 2015 we were told to withhold judgment until the facts were in even though minorities and women were hardest hit.

But now that an Islamic terrorist has killed 50 at a gay bar in Orlando, Florida, our rulers are calling it “terrorism,” even President Obama, even on the first day after the shooting.

Now I define government as “an armed minority occupying some territory, and taxing the inhabitants thereof to reward its supporters.”

It is interesting to me that the government apparently was not too exercised when a bunch of soldiers were killed, even though soldiers are the actual men with guns that keep the rulers in power. It is interesting that the government wasn’t too exercised when its local minions were gunned down, even though they are the functionaries that keep us “inhabitants thereof” properly subordinated to the rulers and that “make us legible” to the rulers by counting us and taxing us as James C. Scott writes in Seeing Like a State.

But this time it looks as though ISIS or its associates have really gone and done it. It demonstrates, I suppose, just how central gays are to the identity and the throbbing heart of the Democratic Party.

With whom would America go to war over 50 killed in a night club?

Exactly nobody.

And even then, they will just as happily kill each other for being the wrong brand of Islam, not sufficiently devoted, etc.

“where he is obviously quite too hung over to put together coherent thoughts.”

lol.. he’s an irreverent, in-your-face ass for sure.

but you are right - he’s useful. He can say pretty much anything he wants - because he’s gay.

there are a few of these young guys out there that are drawing a lot of followers with their common sense/anti pc tone - Matt Chowder (who is a freeper) and friends w Milo, infowars dude - forget his name - he’s a brit like Milo and is over covering the Bilderburg meetings right now. He and Milo are outspoken about the out vote for England...

interesting times we live in.

We went to war after almost 3,000 people were murdered on 9/11. Didn't have the ‘nads to finish it.

A nightclub shooting killing 49 & injuring 50? Chump change to them.

It will take another attack killing twice more than were killed on 9/11. Even then those in power will blame us.

Great line, and so true.

Look at a map of the world and mark all the places where there is conflict. With the exception of a few places like the South China Sea and South Africa, you would mostly find a “ring of fire” around the muslim part of the world.

Things that should make you go hmmmmm.....

Milo says: ““It’s mystifying to me why the progressive left has put Muslims at the top of the victimhood hierarchy …”

It’s not mystifying. Wealthy Muslims have more money to donate than any other members of the victimhood hierarchy. The Saudis have bought both the Democrat and Republican parties.

you are right.

something is in the air this year - it’s like the left is being revealed for what it really is...... and it’s ugly as heck. a curtain being drawn back, masks falling to the ground....

One can ask open-ended questions on a written exam.

You can ask people to agree (YES/NO choice) that certain behaviors are to be tolerated.

One can ask questions and have psychologists view at the person being questioned.

Employers screen for honesty and drug use.

Have you lived in Europe for over a year?

Have you been employed in any one job for over two years?

Have you attended college? Did you graduate on time? What courses did you take outside of your major?

You can ask for cultural knowledge from say the Oscar winning films of the past fifty years.

Point system?

You might also have multiple people screen young male immigrants and young male gun buyers.

Eh.

I don’t see it as being useful.

Especially at the fire-hose level that we are getting people at. Interrogators won’t be high quality, and will more likely be State Dept or INS people who are going to likely be judged negatively on how many they disallow.

We will have to disagree on this.

Some of the questions on Form 4473 are flawed in my opinion.

https://www.atf.gov/file/61446/download

Stupid people might not know that a crime carries a sentence of more than a year.

Marijuana is now basically legal in California, etc.

What if someone has beaten an ex-wife weekly and never been convicted for it.

Form doesn’t ask the foreign countries visited in the past five years.

he’s a crackup, and amazing how he remains grounded not getting caught up in the LGBT talking point garbage.

That is a great idea!
We want to be tolerant of people who may believe in different Gods, and sexual preferences, but would not murder those they disagree with. If they can’t handle freedom of expression they have no business being in the USA.

“useful”

His ex-wife knew he was a nutcase.

http://abcnews.go.com/US/omar-mateen-suspected-orlando-night-club-shooter/story?id=39790797

“judged negatively”

A second opinion might be requested.

An new employee might get a bank of five second-opinion requests when he/she starts work, one for every twenty cases, plus one for each case where the examiner’s adverse opinion is shared.

A committee might make the final decision in doubtful cases.

Note: The killer was born in the USA.

Much of the problem would be solved if all the *Gheys* went back into the closet.

The killer posted a picture of himself in a NYPD tee shirt on a website.

The killer worked as a security guard.

I suspect the killer wanted a police job but was turned down for one of a number of reasons.

Can you think of another Florida associated person who wanted a police job, but didn’t get one?

Screening can work to some extent, but not always as well as we might like.

A war against an idea isn’t going to go far.

It has only worked every time it is tried.
