Donald Trump’s team is hunkering down to draft the charge sheet the presumptive GOP nominee will unveil against Hillary Clinton on Monday, intent on laying out a credible general election argument that leads voters to question her trustworthiness.
Senior campaign advisers beginning to focus on the speech cast it Wednesday as “all about pivoting to the general election.”
But many Republicans worry that the former reality TV star’s penchant for focusing on the Clintons’ personal lives and scandals of years past — he declared them “fair game” months ago as he bulldozed to the finish line of a Republican primary — could undermine the more disciplined case party leaders have been making against Clinton for a year — that the Democrat’s email controversy and actions in Benghazi show she is too irresponsible to be commander in chief.

That right there tells me it’s a GOOD idea.
Trump is a master at getting in people’s head. The goal of this speech is 1) get the news cycle back in Trump’s favor, and 2) mess with Hillary. Once you get someone emotional, they start making mistakes.
From now on though, even though the La Raza judge turned out to be a legitimate concern, I’d rather have these attacks come from Trump supporters like Christie to give him some distance from the fire. Let others do the dirty work. Kristol won’t, but there’s a new generation like the Breitbart crew who will.

The really fun part of this speech will be laying out the scam that is the Clinton Foundation. Trump needs to equate this with what William Magear “Boss” Tweed—the most notorious politician in American history—did but on a much larger scale.

That is a laugh. The party leaders do not know what disciplined is. All they know is to tiptoe up and say something innocuous, and when called a name, turn tail and run to their safe space never to brooch the subject again. Much like McCain and Romney did. We see how well that worked!!!
He could take it all the way back to the Nixon impeachment proceedings where she got kicked off the team for her dishonesty.

Yep fun. Trump could likely do another charge sheet closer to November... and maybe a third one too.
I hope Trump’s team accesses the amazing work of Alamo Girl.
THAT alone will blow a gaping hole in her run.
Add her recording about the rape victim, and Trump can easily run on two ads playing that over and over again.
Such a charge sheet will play well for the campaign, but they most certainly better reserve some acts, past or future (like enjoying criminal gains $$ the day after her pardon) that will serve either as a basis for impeachment and conviction or put her away for a very long time, or both.
