That right there tells me it’s a GOOD idea.
Trump is a master at getting in people’s head. The goal of this speech is 1) get the news cycle back in Trump’s favor, and 2) mess with Hillary. Once you get someone emotional, they start making mistakes.
From now on though, even though the La Raza judge turned out to be a legitimate concern, I’d rather have these attacks come from Trump supporters like Christie to give him some distance from the fire. Let others do the dirty work. Kristol won’t, but there’s a new generation like the Breitbart crew who will.
Many republicans worry the attack they’ve been preparing for a year, and hasn’t gained traction and won’t go anywhere.
Now, Trump will attack with the fury of Patton and the ruthlessness of General Antonio López de Santa Anna.
