[Vanity] Rick Perry--A Solid VP Choice for Donald Trump
6/04/2016 | nikos1121

Rick Perry as Trump's VP makes good sense for me. Perry is a solid well vetted Patriotic American who has an excellent track record as former governor of Texas.

Here's why I think he's far and away the best pick for Trump's VP. What do the rest of you think?

Born: 4 March 1950

Birthplace: Paint Creek, Texas

Best known as: The governor of Texas, 2000-2015

Name at birth: James Richard Perry

• Graduated from Texas A&M University in 1972 with a degree in animal science.

• He was a cargo pilot in the Air Force from 1972-77, and then became a cotton farmer with his father.

• Handsome and charismatic, and a fifth-generation Texan, Rick Perry was elected to the Texas House of Representatives as a Democrat in 1984, from Texas District 64.

• In 1989 Perry switched from the Democratic Party to the Republicans, and in 1990 was elected as the state's Agriculture Commissioner, serving for two full terms.

• He ran successfully for lieutenant governor in 1998, taking office in 1999 under Governor George W. Bush.

• Perry then became governor himself on 21 December 2000, after Bush was elected President of the United States.

• Rick Perry was elected in his own right in 2002, and established himself as a favorite of the GOP's right wing.

• Rick Perry has been consistently: anti-tax, anti-big government, anti-abortion, pro-business, evangelical, tough on crime (he vetoed a ban on the executions of mentally retarded prisoners in 2002), and an outspoken doubter of global warming.

• He was reelected in 2006 and again in 2010; by the time he was succeeded by fellow Republican Greg Abbott in January of 2015, Perry had become the longest-serving governor in Texas history.

On a personal note:

• Rick Perry married the former Anita Thigpen in 1982.

• They have two children: a son, Griffin, and a daughter, Sydney.

• According to the governor’s official state biography, Perry “first met Anita Thigpen at a piano recital during their elementary school years”…

• He was an Eagle Scout and wrote the 2008 book On My Honor: Why the American Values of the Boy Scouts are Worth Fighting For…

• His hometown, Paint Creek, is a small town near Abilene in Central Texas…

• Rick Perry is the author of the 2010 book Fed Up! Our Fight to Save America from Washington.

Air Force Pilot

Deep Aggie Roots

Eagle Scout Himself

Strong Leader Who Could Step In As President If Need Be

Great Family

Trump and Perry a Perfect Match

No regard for history, or for the law. Zero’s effort to fundamentally change our nation for the worse... and it’s bipartisan. Just ask Rick Perry or the Huckster when “we the people” stand up to these open borders frauds, we’re just “heartless.”

No way Jose. Trump has said it will be a politician to help him with congress. I don’t think Perry fits that bill. In my opinion, for what it’s worth, Perry has ZERO chance at VP and would be a terrible pick as he brings NOTHING to the table.

1. Marsha Blackburn or 2. Kristi Noem. It MUST be a woman congress critter.

Hubby and I were discussing this very thing last night during Pirro’s interview with Trump. He could do much worse than Perry; it could work.

?Governor Rick Perry knows the illegal border crossings better than anyone else. Because a large part of the wall along the US-Mexican border goes through Texas, Perry would be a perfect resource when the wall got built. The Texas-Mexico border makes up 1,254 miles of the 1,900-mile-long U.S.-Mexico border.”

Then why the heck didn’t the guy DO anything about the illegal alien invasion along the Texas border when he had control of the Texas government, including the Texas National Guard units under his command? And do you remember his forced vaccination edict and making Texans pay for college tuition for illegal aliens kids, all the while laying a guilt trip on those who didn’t agree with all that? He’s just like every other BS politician, just like Trump said; “Politicians are all talk and no action.”

I think I like Chris Christie. None of them are perfect, but I think Christie has come around to Trump’s way of thinking, including on 2nd amendment. I think Christie is the only strong fighter (something Trump admires) and debater (just ask Little Marco). Plus he may bring New Jersey....assuming he’s liked in Jersey.

We need someone who can make a case,both these guys shoot from the hip but can’t lay out the case point by point,Newt Gingrich can slice and dice these leftists like a surgeon,Trump thinks he can pull the same act in the National election that he did in the primary,not going to work just calling names,even though I like the press and Hillary takedowns,but he has to get into the weeds on the real cause of the housing crisis,Benghazi,Hillarys disaster in Benghazi etc.and lay it out,Perry and Trump are lacking in that area,

July 2015 on ABC’s “This Week With George Stephanopoulos,” former Texas Governor and Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry said Donald Trump’s remarks about Mexican immigrants being rapist and criminals were “offensive.”

PERRY: “ I was offended by his remarks. Hispanics in America and Texas, from the Alamo to Afghanistan have been extraordinary people, citizens of our country and of our state. They have served nobly and to paint with that broad of a brush, like Donald Trump did, he’s going to have to defend those remarks. I never will. And I will stand up and say those were offensive, which they were.”... more at breitbart.com ...

If he only had a brain.

Then-Gov Perry signs Muslim agreement;establishes first active Sharia Court in US.

Perry receives a serape from Mexican Gov Enrique Martinez,
as a token of appreciation for enacting the Texican Dream Act---
a govt giveaway to illegals.

Subversive Texas Textbooks---distributed nationwide--- vilify conservative groups;
leftist radicals urge use of police power on conservative groups

Breitbart Texas | 09/10/2014 | Merrill Hope / FR Posted by Rusty0604

In 2006, uber-liberal "Texas Rising" stated its mission: "developing an emerging generation of social justice-minded, informed and engaged leaders is essential to the long-term health of our communities and the development of progressive public policy in Texas."

...a sneak peak at the preliminary Social Studies textbook found including distortions, omissions and half-truths all passing for accurate high school US history...

And there's this gem: "The radical right consists of groups that sometimes gather under the flag of militant anticommunism. Often known as reactionaries, they denounce most forms of government regulation, including progressive taxation and restrictions and industry.

Texas Rising radical name examples of political groups on the radical right: John Birch Society, the National States & Rights party, The Christian Crusade, and the Tea Party movement.

Strangely enough, these cream puff radicals who abhor police power would not hesitate to use government police power to enforce the changes they desire. (Excerpt) Read more at breitbart.com ...

===================================================

THEN-GOV PERRY SUCKS UP TO LA RAZA

PERRY SUCKS-UP LIKE NO MAN BEFORE HIM Perry
showered illegals w/tax benefits....including tax dollars to
educate them to overthrow the US govt.

REFERENCE--- Some 10 years back, Texas schools started used Mexican textbooks for their backward illiterate Spanish-speaking students. Texas textbooks advocated the Mexican perspective including:

<><> anti-white, anti-capitalist anti-USA viewpoints;

<><> Mexican textbooks falsified US history,

<><> proselytized blood-thirsty La Raza savagery;

<><> using teaching as brainwashing;

<><> inculcating violent separatist, latino supremacy idealogy.

==============================================

At a 2008 prez debate, then-candidate Gov Perry glowered at Repubs, chastising them, saying we were "heartless" b/c we opposed govt giveaways to illegals such as in-state tuition. (IN STATE TUITION: college-level teachings so illegals can overthrow the US govt.)
