Orlando, Florida (CNN)Libertarians on Sunday selected a presidential ticket headed by former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson, who lit into presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump on immigration and a range of other issues.
At the party convention in Orlando, Florida, Johnson got his preferred running mate, former Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld, in a weekend gathering that drew sharp contrasts with the major party candidates -- Trump and Hillary Clinton, the likely Democratic nominee.
Johnson described the real estate mogul's immigration policies as "just racist," particularly the Republican's call to deport 11 million undocumented people currently in the country.
Libertarian activists contend their ticket could play a pivotal role in the 2016 campaign, with Trump and Clinton both viewed unfavorably by large swaths of the electorate. Even grabbing a small percentage of the vote in key states could affect the Electoral College calculus.

Libertarians are Republicans who like to do drugs. On a serious note, I am seeing a lot of network news coverage on Libertarians. Why? I think the "Establishment" will hype up the Libertarians to make them third party viable so they can steal votes from Trump. That is why the Libertarian ticket will be ex-Republicans.

Real Libertarians are despising the Johnson/Weld ticket, and generally have nothing to do with the Libertarian Party.
And yeah, this LP ticket is only being pushed in hopes of dragging down Trump’s support. I don’t think I’ve seen these guys go after Hillary yet.

If they are still against big government and now they are in favor of importing millions of welfare-sucking aliens and treating them like citizens; then, yes, they are quite insane.

Seven years of power vacuum for the Libertarians to demonstrate that they are anything other than a vanity party.
Nothing, until the illusory opportunity to foil Trump.
They are meaningless.

Johnson described the real estate mogul's immigration policies as "just racist," particularly the Republican's call to deport 11 million undocumented people currently in the country. So LPUSA Presidential candidate Gary Johnson wants to advance the party's fortunes by being a lying sack of shit?. I don't think that will work out very well for them.
Libertarians who aren't intellectually honest, quite frankly, are not libertarians at all. If LPUSA candidates are going to spew such transparent, vicious propaganda, the LPUSA will become more and more marginalized as a national party, and deservedly so.
So, to reiterate, LPUSA Presidential candidate Gary Johnson is a lying sack shit propagandist, with no intellectual or philosophical integrity...
Vote Trump!

They seriously think they can have open borders in a vacuum. A typical conversation with them on the topic goes something like this:
Freedom of movement is fundamental to freedom itself.
Yes, but if you let anyone into the United States who wanted to come, we couldn't possibly support two-thirds of the world's population with 4% of the world's land area.
We would only get those who are ambitious and willing to work because under Libertarians, there would be no government programs to subsidize and support those on the government teat.
No, we would get a population which would vote to make us just like the failed countries which they came from.
That won't happen for the reason stated previously.
Maybe not in a Libertarian vacuum fantasy world, but it is already happening in the real world.

Somewhat. They are anarchists who own property. They should go form their own country like they’ve threatened to do for decades and prove that their ultra-selfish philosophy works.

Some people have to drill down to a Fundamental Evil that isn’t even vouched for by the bible. In his case, it’s Racism.
It’s also Ludicrously Wrong. A lie is a known untruth. He’s just Wrong.

Gary Johnson picked Bill Weld? Weld? Seriously?
That does it. I'm not voting Libertarian.
So much for the theory that voters don't pay attention to the name on the bottom of the ticket.
To: Verginius Rufus
Gary Johnson picked Bill Weld? Weld? Seriously? Yes - my theory is that this was done to create a Republican third party alternative to sabotage Trump.
