Gary Johnson 'absolutely' stands by Weld's Holocaust reference to Trump plan

Libertarian presidential candidate Gary Johnson said Monday he "absolutely" stands by his preferred running mate's comment comparing Donald Trump's immigration plan to Nazi Germany.

"Absolutely, absolutely. In New Mexico here, is my door going to be knocked down because I'm going to get checked for papers?" Johnson, who served as New Mexico's governor for two terms, when asked by CNN's Jake Tapper on "The Lead."

Former Massachusetts Gov. Bill Weld -- who is expected to be picked alongside Johnson to run on the Libertarian Party ticket at a nominating convention this weekend -- told The New York Times on Thursday that Trump's plan to remove the estimated 11 million undocumented immigrants from the U.S. reminded him of "Kristallnacht," or the "Night of Broken Glass."

The point is, even from a strictly economic point of view, open borders and amnesty are a bad move.

I agree with you completely, however, that the biggest threat posed by Third World immigration isn't economic but cultural. We're importing a culture of poverty, ignorance, and crime by the millions when we allow Mexico and Central America to dump their social dregs on our side of the border. American middle class neighborhoods are being replaced by barrio culture thanks to our insane immigration policy, and what's happening in Europe thanks to immigration from Africa and the Arab world is even worse.

Good one! Best description of the Libertarian Party I’ve heard yet.

the value of the lost space

This is an important issue. There's an inverse relationship between population density and liberty in America. Rural, ethno-culturally homogeneous, low density regions of the country tend to be economically libertarian and socially conservative (in a live and let live kind of way). Dense "multicultural" urban areas are characterized by high taxes, high regulation, and social liberalism. Some of this is just social rot, some of it (such as anti-pollution restrictions or building codes/zoning laws) occur out of necessity.

Either way, you can't have Montana or Idaho-style communities when your cities look like Tijuana or Lagos.

Fraudulently documented foreigners ARE subject to deportation according to our laws.

The citizens of this country have the right to enforce our laws and borders.

Multi-national politicians who put fraudulently documented foreigners concerns over the citizens deserve to be removed from office and office seekers deserve to be rejected.

They both seem to me as being closer to democrats than anything else. I had never heard of an anti 2nd amendment libertarian before Weld.

It’s not a matter of Johnson-Weld winning; not at all; it’s who they can hoodwink to help Mrs. Bill.

This is getting weird. The cheap labor, anti-border, pro-global domination elites are being kicked out of the Republican Party, AT LAST!! So now they're going to use Weld to hijack the Libertarian Party, since Romney is too greatly despised?

Some would say that's conspiracy theory.

So many U.S. citizens seem to be allied with fraudulently-documented foreigners.

“This is actually a good development for Trump. These clowns will draw more votes from hitlery than Trump.”

I wouldn’t be so sure of that. Here in New Mexico, where Gary was Gov, I know of many former Republicans that became so disgusted with the party that they left it. Now, many of them will be voting for this asshat just out of spite. I’m doing my best to try and convince them otherwise.

That was part of the plan of non-enforcement.
Get them embedded into our communities, get industries reliant on their new compliant workforce, so that the citizens would join the opposition to the rule of law.

Insidious.

Both parties.

what, is the Left now resorting to a second tier campaign to do what themselves, the establishment and the media couldn’t do for a year?
