James Comey: Enforcing the Law Requires Indicting Hillary Clinton
American Thinker ^ | May 27, 2016 | Scott S. Powell

Posted on 05/27/2016 2:51:30 PM PDT by Kaslin

When James Comey was appointed FBI Director by President Obama, he became the “hands on” chief law enforcement officer of the U.S. As he laid his hand on the Bible and recited his oath of office on September 4, 2013, swearing to “faithfully discharge the duties of the office… without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion,” Mr. Comey never thought he would face indicting the heir apparent leader of the party under which he would serve.

The facts known about Secretary Hillary Clinton’s actions surrounding the use of an unsecure private email server for conducting State Department business, show that she acted with reckless disregard of the security interests of the United States and violated some ten federal statutes. Several are national security-related felonies, just three of which include: 1) disclosure of classified information (22 of which documents were Top Secret); 2) unauthorized removal and retention of classified documents; and 3) destruction of evidence (erasure of the hard drive and deletion of some 30,000 emails by Secretary Clinton), after a government investigation had commenced (Benghazi hearings began October 10, 2012).

Mr. Comey can’t give Secretary Clinton a pass without trouble because a related, but lesser violation in handling classified material by General David Petraeus was recently adjudicated, resulting in a $100,000 fine a two years’ probation. Petraeus merely gave his personal notebooks, which contained classified information to his biographer, who never disclosed any secrets. Hillary Clinton showed reckless disregard for the nation’s security; her email server -- hosting voluminous classified and Top Secret information -- was repeatedly breached and exposed by notorious Romanian hacker “Guccifer” and by the Russians (who have 20,000 Clinton server emails in their possession).

I’ll always believe Snowden is working for Putin.

And I think Snowden should be honored as a patriot.

Clintons commit crime, they don’t do time.

What does that have to do with Snowden?

The law has been cluttered up with so much dubious junk that enforcing it “as a whole” would be tantamount to enforcing a monster. This is what our modern liberals have done to us.

Putin has 20,000 of her emails.

Utmost, I agree.

James Comey doesn’t want to take a walk in the park like Vince did!

I hold my breath waiting to see what happens. As a friend is fond of saying, politics is just like physics. For every push there is an equal and opposite reaction. If the FBI does not recommend indictment, which is surely what Obama and the DOJ want it to do, there will be a huge and largely unexpected reaction in the FBI and the security establishment. If they recommend and the DOJ does not indict something similar will happen. If the DOJ indicts and Obama pardons the repercussions will impact the Democratic party for decades. If they indict and then the court fails to convict there will be a different but largely bad outcome for the Democrats.

The safest thing for the Democrats is to indict, convict and send her to prison. That would have the least bad impacts on the party. (Frankly, I see that as the least likely outcome.)

Whether or not she goes matters far less than whether we recognize what she did as being evil and repent of it ourselves. She isn’t some pure monster in a room of pure plaster saints. She might be an example of all our worst, getting its way.

Not will we put Hillary in jail but will we let God put the devils that drove her, in jail because we find no use for them ourselves.

Cry me a river. This is a gimmie for the FBI. Comey should be having no problem recommending indicting Hillary and it shouldn’t have taken this long to do so.

Then on the other hand. Hillary’s responses go largely unchallenged and her minions stay on message in front of a relatively compliant media.

I can’t believe they’re still arguing the point of Hillary actually doing something unlawful.

I’ve yet to hear a good response to one of her minions stating she did nothing illegal. Even Charles the Kraughammer uses weasel words when describing her crimes.

Comey has gone over to the dark side and will never advocate Satan’s daughter be indicted and tried. If there were even an iota of patriotism and decency in him, HilLIARy would be wearing jailbird orange many, many months ago.

As he laid his hand on the Bible and recited his oath of office on September 4, 2013,

Members of Congress do the same thing
Means nothing
