Visited New Mexico years ago... I doubt I'll ever go back. The Albuquerque police force is the largest in NM. They were completely inadequate in holding off just a few hundred protesters and anarchists. Fortunately there weren't *thousands* out there last night.
That’s my guess as well...
ACTUALLY, the interview will be at 1:05pm NOT 2pm.
“I witnessed yesterdays activity on the Levin thread. I wonder if his ratings are beginning to decline, and that might be the reason he was so fractious?”
Oh, there’s no doubt whatsoever that Mark’s ratings have slipped. They can’t have done otherwise, seeing as he chose to overtly go all-in for Ted Cruz, early in the primary.
Mark essentially turned his program into a daily three hour campaign ad for Cruz. That was bound to turn off some of his listeners, who supported other candidates. I know it did for me.
Even worse, when it became clear that Trump owned the real momentum in the race, Mark went #nevertrump, which likely turned off even more listeners.
Why he chose yesterday to show up here and start a bunch of childish arguments with long time Freepers, is a mystery. Seemed to me that he was just lashing out at anything moving.

I don’t listen to him anymore, and also wasn’t on yesterday’s thread, but when I read the comments this morning, I thought: “Wow, what a bitter petty man!”
I’m fairly certain he is taking a ratings hit!
Exactly! What the newspapers did was take a snapshot where his hands were in the same position as the handicapped guy and then run with it. This woman today was an idiot!
I never listened to Levin’s show very much, but would look in on the thread from time to time. It’s really a shame he chose to do this. Over the years, he’s been a credit to the conservative movement, all things considered.
I’m kinda the same way about Rush. Perhaps he’s getting to the age where he just doesn’t have the fire in his belly like he did twenty years ago, and he just doesn’t want to fight all day, every day. Maybe he wants to enjoy his wealth in his declining years.
I started listening to Rush from the beginning in 1989. I would hear him on the Baton Rouge station while I was on the road selling. A bunch of friends and I even started a “Rush Limbaugh Supper Club” in Shreveport for several years in the mid ‘90s. It was a hoot.
Since retirement, I don’t hear Rush as often, and keep up with him more from these threads than anything else. Back when he was really popular, there was nowhere else to go to for info. No internet, no Fox News.
Does that make everyone invested in the stock market heartless and uncaring?

Exactly my thoughts as well! How far Mark has fallen...
Levin had a mental breakdown some years ago when his dog died - no kidding. I know it's traumatic but he actually broke down. I think this is reflective of an ongoing mental illness issue
The Rush Limbaugh Supper Club... that sounds like fun! Remember the "Rush Rooms"? I never went to one, although I think there were some in our local VFWs.
My parents (both WWII veterans) introduced me to Rush in March 1991. I was stunned when I first heard him. I never heard anything like that on live radio before! I know there was Bob Grant in NYC, but his radio signal (WOR?) didn't reach the Hartford, CT area where I lived.
I don't think Rush is "done" yet, but I understand why some won't listen to him anymore, or turn him off occasionally (I'm in the latter camp). We'll see how it goes...
Most fun I ever had with my clothes on in all my life! We were in full swing during the 1995 Louisiana Gov race. Had a couple of the candidates come speak, plus several candidates for local statehouse. During the 1996 Louisiana prez primary, we had Pat Buchanan, Phil Gramm, and Alan Keyes come talk to us.
I remember the “Rush Rooms” thought I don’t think I ever made it to one.
Rush was a real sensation back then. Fun to listen to.
I just went through the Levin thread from yesterday and I’m still amazed! He trashed a man who turned out to be a vet and who had a kid in Iraq! And all those people who had bought his books over the years. Sad man. What a sad guy. I hope he doesn’t behave like that in the workplace or at home - I always though it was an act.
Yes! I would be glued to my radio, whether at home or in the car. Or at my parents' house!
Geez, Rush... It's MeriDEN, Connecticut, *not* Meridian!
Wow! Back in the day, several of us FReepers had fun hanging out with Connecticut native Ann Coulter up here in CT and NYC.
Look, Rush has his faults but he would never stoop to coming on FR and trashing his former fans. Rush is a gentleman who has a good reputation as a boss. Just look at how he handles callers compared to Levin, Imus or even Laura. And Rush is certainly entitled to being tired after all these years. After all, the conservative movement has not gained much and it’s certainly lost a great deal over the last twenty years.
Funny, even though I’ve been disappointed with Rush lately, I still have a very high regard for him. He’s a true radio professional. Part of the problem is that Mark Levin is not. He came very late to radio and it shows.
Wow. I'll try to read the thread more in-depth if I have some time later today. I just saw his snarky comments, but didn't get the entire context.
I always thought it was an act as well. Makes you wonder...
I agree, MM. I thought I was the last holdout on this thread who still respected Rush. ;-)
Between Thanksgiving and Christmas 2006, the Levin family said their emotional final goodbye. Crushed and consumed with grief, Mark turned to family, friends, and fans for help.
