Paul Ryan on Sarah Palin Supporting Primary Challenger:Outside Agitators Will Do What They’re Going

Speaker of the House Paul Ryan said he’s used to “outside agitators,” in reference to former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin’s endorsement of his primary challenger in Wisconsin’s 1st District, Paul Nehlen.

“I’m used to that sort of thing,” Ryan responded when asked about the possibility of Palin campaigning in his district, during an interview on Politico’s Off Message podcast. “Outside agitators are going to do what they’re going to do.”

“They know I’m sincere,” Ryan said of his constituents.

Palin endorsed Nehlen, Ryan’s primary challenger, earlier this month after Ryan refused to endorse presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump.

Yea, I’ve heard of it. Used to wear a beard myself back in the day. But Ryan looked like a jihadi. I’m sorry, but he did. In a town obsessed with “optics”, it was a bad choice. Especially in these times.
