It’s too easy for legal guns to get into illegal hands (barf alert)
Chicago Sun-Times ^ | 24 may 2016

Just how easy it is for a legally owned gun to turn into a crime gun — and how hard it is to trace the path — was made clear in Sunday’s Sun-Times as Frank Main reported how a gun stolen from an ex-Chicago cop was used to shoot three Chicago Police officers on the West Side.

The ex-cop kept a .40 caliber Glock Model 22 handgun at a relative’s home in unincorporated Palatine until, police said, it was stolen by a cable TV installer who said he put it into his company truck. From there it somehow traveled to the hands of a man who wounded the three officers on March 14. The cable installer said someone had broken into the truck and stolen the gun on Dec. 15.

Guns are regularly stolen from homes, and from stores as well. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives says 12,000 handguns, shotguns and rifles were stolen from stores from 2013 to 2015.

Yes, the same ole crap. Getting tough on law-abiding citizens...instead of criminals. Nothing new for the radical left.

haiku:

Gun crime actually
People crime so how about
Naming those people

and the actual crux:

Legal gun owners
Must be disarmed so that
Elites can sleep safe

And the solution is....more gun laws.

If only people and stores did more to keep criminals from stealing guns then criminals wouldn’t have guns to kill others.

It’s not the criminals fault. They are just doing what criminals do. Or something...

This gun was originally owned by a cop. The FOP makes sure that all gun laws include an except cops clause. So, that means they found a crime gun that NONE of their proposed civilian disarmament laws could have possible ever touched and somehow that is my problem.

Keep the criminals in jail and they won’t have access to guns.

Yep. Let’s just outlaw guns altogether. After all it worked so well with heroin.

Yes guns are stolen all the time and where are they on the police priority list? Non-existent!

Criminals will ALWAYS get guns to commit crimes. Same as getting alcohol during Prohibition...

Just like addicts can get heroin...

Is the Chicago Sun Times really this clueless?

The only thing that would happen if all guns were outlawed is organized Crime - the syndicate - would be handed a billion dollar industry...

Folks in Chicago should now better...they remember Capone, right? Fools.

Halt all gun restrictions and background check. Make the unlawful use of a firearm in the commission of a crime a life sentence at hard labor. Think how clean the road ways could be.

Re: Guns are regularly stolen from homes, and from stores as well.

So naturally this is the fault of law-abiding citizens.

Never the criminals. God, how I hate these people.
