Donald Trump has highlighted his credentials as an outsider throughout his 2016 campaign, but six-in-ten American voters say they're unsure about his lack of military or government experience, a new NBC News/ Wall Street Journal poll shows.

And more than 40 percent say they're very uncomfortable about the holes in his resume, which would make him the first president without a record of military or elected public service.

Washington’s positions were not elected positions, however, you are correct that Lincoln did hold two elected offices before becoming President. One at the state level and one at the federal level. My bad.

TRUMP will surround himself with the brightest and best and get rid of those who put PC before their military duties.

I’m concerned that Hillary Clinton flunked the DC Bar exam and what this says about this self-proclaimed smartest woman in America. Somehow I never heard about it on NBC, but I guess its because they didn’t have their “sleuth” reporter Andrea Mitchell looking into it, too busy with Trump.

No experience in politics, coupled with brains, brashness and common sense is a plus.

Exactly the way I think about Supreme Court nominees. There’s no rule that say they have to be lawyers.

I don’t know of one person that thinks Donald lacks experience.

Donald is a brilliant business man/CEO who has proven time and time again he knows how to get things done.

Where was Obama’s experience except as a community organizer who was raised a Muslim and mentored by muzzies and commies??

Apparently political experience did not concern the framers of the Constitution. They didn’t include it as a prerequisite for the job.

Maybe there is a worry that Trump will make other Presidents look bad.

I’m worried about her experience as a lying criminal and her husband’s experience as a rapist.

Trump’s experience is that he hires the best people he can to advise him and make sure he has a firm grasp on any specific issue. Then, he makes the decision and takes responsibility for it.
