Presumptive GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump has overtaken Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton in an average of head-to-head national polls, according to the RealClearPolitics average of polls.

Trump leads Clinton by 0.2 percentage points, 43.4 percent to 43.2 percent in the average, overtaking the Democratic front-runner for the first time in the average of polls.

Several recent surveys have shown Trump with an advantage over Clinton.

An ABC News/Washington Post poll conducted May 16–19 shows a tight race between the two candidates, with Trump holding a 2-point lead over Clinton. A Rasmussen Reports poll conducted May 17–18 had the presumptive GOP nominee up 5 points over Clinton. A recent Fox News poll also showed Trump with a lead.

Trump has, in recent weeks, started to pivot toward the general election after his two former rivals dropped their presidential bids following the Indiana primary.

Remember way back a month ago when all the “experts” were telling us Trump couldn’t beat Hillary?

Anyone have any theory as to why the Dumocraps are allowing her to become the nominee? They cannot *possibly* believe she can beat Trump, plus she is under investigation, I believe 150 FBI agents investigating her? So besides Trump kicking her butt, she also at any time can end up indicted. It just seems incredibly strange to me why they would pick this woman out of all people to be the nominee. Even Fauxcahontas Warren would be a safer bet. Are they deliberately trying to lose the election or are they really THAT stupid?

Trump can pretty much concentrate on firing away on Clinton. Hillary still has Bernie and his Socialist Brigades fighting a guerilla war against her all the way to Philadelphia. It wasn’t supposed to be this way. It was supposed to be Trump battling Cruz all the way to Cleveland while Hillary had a cakewalk all the way to the election. Yes, the tables have definitely turned.

Trump +5 in Rassmussen poll of 1,000 MOE 3. Why do they make this so close when it isn’t really.

Carter and Reagan was for Carter until 3 weeks before the election. Trump is doing soo much better, taking the lead before even the convention.

Trump will get a bump uniting the Republican party around his conservative SCOTUS picks.

The GOP convention will have Cruz problems, but the end of the primaries will give Trump 1,450 delegates to Cruz 560 delegates, so how much trouble will Trump really have.

Trump will make this the best managed TV event in Republican Convention History. Trump will get a bump of 8 points coming out of the convention.

Its good that the Bush’s and Romney won’t endorse Trump, less dead weight for Trump to carry on his back. Trump won’t have to defend these Rinos.

Hillary won’t be indited, but the worst she has done will leak out of the FBI by incensed FBI agents wanting to make sure she never gets to the oval office. These leaks will be a real wound to her chances. Her negatives go up more.

They can pull the plug on Hillary any time up to the convention. Given that the Republicans are game-planning for Hillary, the strategy might be to let them until the last possible moment.

In the stock business it looks like a head and shoulders formation which is a prelude to a bear market. QED.

“Things are not looking good for crooked Hillary”

I think “Heartless Hillary” resonates more. Both valid labels, but I’m sticking with that one.

Trump is already doing much better than Romney, who never really posed a threat to Obama

At this point in the cycle in 2012 Romney was busy saying nothing in his own defense against an onslaught of attacks from Obama surrogates linking Romney with Bain Capital and the so-called 1%ers.

Trump said Romney ran the worst campaign in history. I think Trump is right about that.
