Trump’s VP Pick Prediction
Scott Adams' Blog Dilbert ^ | Posted May 17th, 2016 | Scott Adams

Posted on 05/17/2016 9:15:26 AM PDT by GilGil

As I said, predicting a VP choice is nearly impossible until the last minute because the situation is fluid. A candidate might need some help in a key state, based on current polling. Or the opponent might open up a new line of attack that needs a defense. A lot can change in a few weeks.

But as of today, and according to the Master Persuader filter, I put the odds at 90% than Trump picks Brown as his running mate.

Newt is my first choice in spite of age.

Will bring many “NeverTrump” conservatives, and has experience, wisdom, and knowledge of the system Trump desperately needs......

Demographics is destiny. Susan Martinez. Former Democrat appeals to crossovers. Check. Latina. Check. Woman. Check. Executive experience. Check.

It completely nullifies any thing that desperate Hillary can say.

And it will trap the MSM. Since she is a female governor like Sarah Palin, they will use the same stupid tactics they used on Palin. But they will stumble badly because Martinez does not have baggage that Palin has (former beauty pageant girl, redneck, oddball church). (Don't flame me -- I think Palin is one of the most capable conservatives ever, but she has targets on her).

"I come in peace. I didn’t bring artillery. But I’m pleading with you, with tears in my eyes: If you f*ck with me, I’ll kill you all." - General James "Mad Dog" Mattis, USMC (ret)

If Trump is really serious about foreign policy and the War on Terror, Gen. Mattis would be the choice

Imagine how many leftist heads would explode over that decision?.

Don’t discount that factoid. If the LIV does not enter the poll with a plan, he will choose by name recognition or identity. I bet Scott could pick 8-30% of the ignoramus vote in some places with just the name “BROWN.”

Newt is too old. Could be chief of staff though.

Yes. We've been saying this for weeks, but our peers can't add 72+16 and determine that Newt would be 88 years old at the end of his second term if both he and Trump go 2 terms.

Furthermore, Newt as Chief of Staff would be in a much more important and advisory position to assist Trump guiding and maneuvering through the DC maze of legislators, lobbyists, and assorted crooks.

No one has the skills and experience that Newt can provide to Trump.

“I miss the old FR when the site was dominated by conscientious conservatives. If I was Trump I would pick Scott Walker or Rubio, or Kasich”.

He picks any one of those three Cheap Labor, Globalist Pukes, and I stay home.

Bernie as Hillary’s VP could be a problem for Trump, but a lot of Bernie supporters might think he’s a turncoat and stay home in November.

I’m going to throw another name into the VP pot.

Tom Cotton

Has he endorsed Trump? I don’t know much about him but he has a bronze star for military service I think. And he’s been both a Rep and Senator.

Been here for 15+ years longer than you, mainly for the religious, social conservative, and science and medical threads. Never visited even once to in any way facilitate NE liberalism.

and yes, the typical female voter is THAT shallow.

Harsh, but... hard knowledge tempered by history. One out of three Republican women voters voted for John Edwards to represent NC in the US Senate in 1998.

And what everyone now knows about that scrub, after '04, was generally known in that Senate race in the Old North State.

Of course, it didn't help the Republicans that their Senate incumbent was an affable but non-charismatic drunk.

Totally agree. Newt could add a level of supervision and experience over Trump’s agenda like no one else.

The VP choice would not be as critical if Newt were chief of staff.
