A woman who dated Donald Trump said early Monday that The New York Times "spun" her comments for an article about the presumptive presidential nominee's treatment of women, adding that he always treated her respectfully.
“He never made me feel like I was being demeaned in any way,” Rowanne Brewer Lane said on Fox News’s “Fox & Friends.”
“He never offended me in any way,” the former model added. "He was very gracious. I saw him around all types of people, all types of women. He was very kind, thoughtful, generous. I did not have a negative experience with Donald Trump.” The New York Times on Sunday published an article documenting Trump’s past behavior with women.
The newspaper’s report said that the outspoken billionaire both nurtured women’s careers and demeaned their appearance, creating a “complex, at times contradictory portrait.”
Lane on Monday said that the Times had distorted her account of the time she spent as Trump’s companion.
“The New York Times told us several times that they would make sure that my story I was telling would come across,” she said.
“They told me and my manager several times that it would not be a hit piece and that my story come across in the way I was telling it and accurately. It absolutely was not. I don’t appreciate them making it look like it was a negative experience,” she added.

Great idea. If only the MSM would realize that if they’d jump on board, do their basic jobs, and report the facts fairly, the Trump years could be the most fun and interesting years of their lives.
Now that the liberal New York Times saw it fit to explore Trump’s sex life, it is now entirely fitting and appropriate for a conservative paper or network to thoroughly examine Hillary Clinton’s sexual history.
The New York Times lied? They are the paper of record.
Eventually they will correct this mistake right around the time they admit the communists were starving to death millions of people in Russia.
Any reporter worth his salt would have audio recordings of their interview. I wouldn't be shocked to see then released in the next day or two....
They'll wait, just long enough to get everyone on the record about how terrible the Times is...then, unload.
If they don't? Then, some reporters and editors need to be fired.
No one gets fired anymore. Least of all anti-Trump reporters.
Also, generally reporters and publications do not reveal audios. They simply state they stand by the story.

Pittsburgh TV station WTAE is pushing a story on air and on Facebook about Trump University, interviewing a local woman who claims to have lost money and the ‘shady past’ of her instructor. A hit piece obviously. I pray that the Lord protects Mr. Trump from liberal distorted propaganda. I don’t know what the woman’s exact situation is but you can’t make everyone happy, and I’m sure the story is spun to show Trump is the anti-Christ. Hey WTAE, you’re not getting me to vote for the Democrats who are thieving my money.
Just listened to the MSNBC coverage of the NYT lies. I thought the NSNBC people were about to cry....it was like they were covering a funeral! Love it....
These lying scumbags are on CNN this morning, defending their lies as CNN is giving them an open forum.
The real story here is that Trump is NOT a misogynist. He loves women and really respects them AND treats them that way. They are going all out to find some woman, any woman, who will trash him. And they CAN’T. They do the opposite. They sing his virtues!!
She should have learned a lesson. And that lesson is to never, never, never talk to a reporter.
