Illegal immigrant households receive an average of $5,692 in federal welfare benefits every year, far more than the average "native" American household, at $4,431, according to a new report on the cost of immigration released Monday.
The Center for Immigration Studies, in an analysis of federal cost figures, found that all immigrant-headed households — legal and illegal — receive an average of $6,241 in welfare, 41 percent more than native households. As with Americans receiving benefits such as food stamps and cash, much of the welfare to immigrants supplements their low wage jobs.
The total cost is over $103 billion in welfare benefits to households headed by immigrants. A majority, 51 percent, of immigrant households receive some type of welfare compared to 30 percent of native households, said the analysis of Census data.
Immigrants receiving the most in the study of 2012 figures come from Mexico and Central America. Their average annual taxpayer funded welfare collection is $8,251, 86 percent higher than the benefits used by native households, said the report.

I abhor the idea that BO and libs want to let so many in but I also know that there is not much any state can do at this point. We saw Abbott refuse to use our money to allow illegals in so BO used private charities, many of them so called Christian charities who have no care for real citizens as long as they can get fed dollars to use on illegals.

Begs the question of why ILLEGAL immigrants should get any welfare benefits.
That is a huge scam...they get thousands back for children that often don’t even live in this country- or exist likely.
Arizona tried and the Justice Department filed a lawsuit against them.
The courts think border security is a federal job and if they choose not to do it, the states have no right to do it.

Even now there is a ruling by a leftist Judge issued an order stopping the implementation of a TEXAS law that gives power to the DPS to stop harboring of illegals. Part of the law allows us to cure the Fes for the cost we have to deal with illegals.
Unfortunately this law does not deal with the tens of thousands of so called minors sneaking in daily. If the Feds, Border Control let them in the state can’t do squat.

That’s just the federal freebies. Throw in state freebies. My secretary shared the same front reception area with the welfare secretary. The welfare secretary had been in that position for many, many years. One day, she ran the numbers which verified the welfare recipients were getting more than she was working 40 hrs/wk. She quit.
