Popkin states, “The less trust you have in the insiders, the more likely you are to turn to an outsider.”

That is true, no one trust Congress because of all the damage they have done. The same thing could be said for the left’s love affair of Bernie and distrust for theirs.

He also says, “There’s no way to unify the party except to be a better candidate and that parties don’t unify by themselves. Parties unify when people start to believe the guy’s OK.” Mr. Trump has to “grow up” and “act like he knows he has to go to Congress” to do certain things. “I don’t know if he can do it.”

N/P! Since Trump has been able to build a billion dollar empire and negotiate hundreds of complex business deals, I think he can manage to deal with Congress.

Interesting that the WSJ tracks down this old guy for the article. Popkin is either missing the cues or it was an intentional smear.

It could be that the author cherry-picked his comments to serve the opinion of the WSJ. Unfortunately, the WSJ remains a dominant source of information for many in the business community and beyond. We need to refute their errors and misguided opinions.

From the tome:

But what if Trump voters, however uninformed, are still making a rational decision by backing him?

F U WSJ. I am very informed, I'd say hyper informed. I am also pissed off.

Enshrined in our language as a recognition that there is a tipping point ... “Even a worm will turn”. Taken to mean that “Even the most humble being will act to defend itself.”

I think in the current case, it’s not that the rebellion is based years of abject submission, but just a final realization that things haven’t been going their way, and aren’t showing any signs of doing so.

The supposed difficulty in explaining Trump’s win is just another symptom of the same diseases that led to it. It’s not complicated, Trump’s platform represents what most people believe in, and he’s demonstrated repeatedly that he’s ready to fight for it.

It’s really not all that complicated, is it?

We like Trump and agree with his positions on the issues and believe that he will get the job done.

He has a proven track record of great success and that adds to the confidence level a great deal.

A vote for a proven winner doesn’t need to be dissected into a poli-sci project.

14 soft and 42 soft unpledged for Penn.

When you go to the Republican convention page, scroll down to the state abbreviations area and choose your state. Then, examine each one with their vote totals, delegate counts, and much more miscellaneous state party information.

For Example: Here is the el Nacionale Election de Cuba de Colorado
One candidate, no voters, 100% delegates for Fidelito,

http://www.thegreenpapers.com/P16/CO-R

See how different it looks from the other state pages both pub & dem!!

Thanks. That site is quite comprehensive in it’s coverage.

Looking at the various states, it’s quite revealing which one’s ran honest open processes.

For instance, in Colorado Tead got all delegates, and we don’t know what the popular vote was. http://www.thegreenpapers.com/P16/CO-R

Contrast Texas where he only got 2/3rds of his home state’s delegates. http://www.thegreenpapers.com/P16/TX-R

Again, contrast New York, Trump’s home state, where Trump got 94.74% of the delegates. http://www.thegreenpapers.com/P16/NY-R

Yes FRiend. I’m glad that you recognize the difference. I was going ballistic after Colorado and posted every article I could find.

Do you realize Trump was polling 10 points ahead of Cruz 2 days prior to the caucus selection?

He knew that the state party was conspiring against him and Kasich. Four CO state senators are leaders of TeamCruz. They voted not to have a primary election although one of them had sponsored the bill to hold a primary, just before Ted entered the race.

I presume that Greenpaper is owned by non-partisan or lib political science junkies since they have been doing it for 20 years. Funny how they immediately posted the CO results showing Cruz by himself on the ballot-without comment. IMO, that was their way of dealing with a dictatorial election that was stolen from the people for one candidate.

It was all so un-American. I wish more people understood the whole story of what transpired. The RNC & Trump’s team should seek punitive measures against the Republican Party of Colorado and unseat the entire delegation in Cleveland. The Colorado delegation of 37 needs to be tossed out and subtracted from the 2472 total number. They deserve to have their delegation sliced in half for 2020.

A progressive con man who is openly lying to Republicans and who forgets his lines/lies has been foisted upon the GOP by his collusion with the media and by cross-over voting. We have every right to question irrational Trump supporters who ignore the facts and wanted to rebel against he establshment, but voting for a member of the establishment.
